Hey ICT, I noticed you change you slogan at the bottom of signature from PS3 Funds to NextGen funds, does this mean your having second thoughts about the PS3?

I think the 360 has more than a "fighting chance" in N.A. I think it has great potential to unseat Sony.Originally posted by ErvSony's got to be scared now. They are going to get kicked around by the Wii in Japan while the 360 has a fighting chance in the US.
Online gaming has never been more popular and from all acounts XBL is superior to what Sony's got cooking. Sony wouldn't even talk about their online features - that's not a good sign. Plus, since XBL is run by one company they can give you all the online gaming you can handle for $50.00 a year. But because Sony isn't exclusive to one site 3rd party developers can charge you whatever they want. You could end up paying $50.00+ a month to play a handful of games.
Add on to that the $200 extra a PS3 will cost you and the fact that HD-DVD is looking like it's going to win the HD war with Blue Ray and you have yourself a winner.
Sony is a great company and they'll always be there but I think Microsoft is going to put some serious hurt into Sony's shares. And judging by how both of their press conferences went Microsoft is ready to take over as #1 in North America and possibly even Europe.Comment

Re: Microsoft Pre-E3 Conference
- GTA4 coming October 16th, 2007.
- HD-DVD attachment coming this holiday season. It's about 1/3rd of the size of a 360. No price yet.
- New wireless racing wheel to come out around the same time as Forza 2.
- Bill Gates announces a new platform called Live Anywhere that will roll out when Vista ships. It will be a big part of Vista. It will have cross-platform capability. Mobile phones, Xbox 360, and PC will share tools.
A demo of this new platform is given. Whenever you log onto a system you'll log onto Xbox Live. An interface is shown on a PC that uses the same "blade" system as Xbox Live. No matter which platform you are on you'll sign in with the same gamertag with the same friends list.
Marketplace will be available on all systems. Now you can download content like Zuma onto your mobile phone. As an example Major Nelson mails a custom car from his phone to a PC. Then begins to customize it on the PC and throws it into the game.Comment

Re: Microsoft Pre-E3 Conference
I think it's going to be a dogfight. All three systems have major problems, MS in Japan(which directly affects game development/allocation) Sony's pricing and Nintendos risk taking. GTA 4 2006 would of been a potential deathblow, now it looks multi in 2007.Originally posted by Money99I think the 360 has more than a "fighting chance" in N.A. Online play is NOT proven yet. When 57% of people play online with a 15 million userbase it will matter, I have doubts that will happen.
Sony make a mistake by taking out the blueray player at $500. Why they would take out something so trivial as a HDMI port is beyond me, but it will cost them in the format war.Comment
