    Re: Nintendo DS Lite

I just traded in my silver GBA SP (3 years old) and Madden 05 for the GBA and got $50 for it (at least $40 for the SP), picked up a DS Lite for $65 then (can only use credit for 1/2 of the purchase of a system where I got it). Got no DS games but am looking at getting 2 of the following: Brain Age, Nintendogs, NSMB, and Mario Kart. We do have wireless in our house.

I would like to get at least one game that takes good use of the stylus to help warrant the purchase with my wife.

Like what I see thus far....espcially the screen!!

NSMB and Mario Kart are both excellent. Brain Age and Nintendogs use the stylus quite a bit.

        Re: Nintendo DS Lite

I just got a DS Lite.

I had tons of trouble finding one.

Funny thing is, Circuit City, Best Buy, you name it, all are out of stock, and the local Toys R Us is the last place in town to have any in stock. Went in and picked it up right away, picked up Brain Age, and Tetris, and will be at Gamestop tomorrow with my Store credit to pick up a Mario game.

Funny thing is how I read how everyones wives are playing the games like mad.

Well, the wife decides to buy me one for Fathers Day after grumblings of not wanting to buy me anymore electronics (bought the 360 and a 42 inch plasma for me as well), she gave up after not being able to think of anything.

So she buys the DS, and grabs the Sims, and opens the thing as soon as we get in the car to return home, and wont get off...lol

I havent even touched it yet. Its nice and and sleek just like everyone is saying here.

You open the box and its small. Smaller than a game cartridge box. I bought brain age and tetris, but i havent been able to touch it yet, even as I type because my wife is all into it, making faces, making noises...lol and she grumbled about buying it for 2 days.

Anyhow, im sure there are not many more questions people need asked, but looks like a keeper IMO, and seems like a great distractor for the wife if you married fellas want to get away for a minute. My wife wont even eat right now she's so into it..hahaha, im going to clown

Haha, my fiance and I went over to our friends house over the weekend, and he just got a DS lite. We both loved it. I started telling her about how its the new system, and its so cool. I told her we could get mario bros, mario kart ecc. Once she got it in her hand, none of us could get it away from her... she loves it.

I'm hoping we might get one soon

When we first bought the DS Lite, which I got 1 1/2 weeks before release, my wife wouldn't put the system down.

forgot to mention I got Phoenix Wright in the mail on Monday and i've played some each night...it's a fun game. The dialog has made me chuckle quite a few times so far, and while not difficult it does make you think/remember some stuff.

yeah, i really do...much more than the PSP, because for me the games are totally different than consoles, and i just found myself not playing the PSP at home when i could just play mostly the same things on a PS2 or xbox. I've determined that any portable system needs to have games that make me want to play at home, because I don't travel enough/take a train/whatever to make it worth it otherwise.
