With all this talk, I'm debating on getting a handheld. Leaning towards a DS Lite due to the price. The main reason I want it is for the partial vacation with the dreaded in-laws. The only problem is, we're leaving Saturday, June 10th. Meaning I'd have to be pretty lucky to snatch one up. Unless Nintendo ships enough. Decisions, decisions..

You might, where are you going?Originally posted by HolicYeah, I'm really considering it. Wonder if I'd be able to get one while on vacation?
Here in Chicago, all of the game stores that I have gone to meaning EB & Gamestop, I have made a point to ask how many prepays they have and on average it's been 10-15 per store. I was told that they were going to get just enough for the prepays, so if you can find a Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, or Target where you are going on 6/11 than you should find one as soon as the store opens.
I placed my $50 down earlier in the week. I wasn't taking any chances.Comment

EG, you think it might be easy to find?Originally posted by ExtremeGamerYeah, you'll have no problem finding it anywhere really.
I heard in Japan they were sold out on launch and for weeks after that. I guess Nintendo didn't anticipate such a huge demand.
It'll be interesting to see how it pans out here in the US.
I need to go pickup Bust A Move at TRU, it's $20.Comment

They live in North Carolina, I'll be there Saturday through Monday/Tuesday. Then we'll be heading up north. Got several places planned. I'm thinking I'll find one at a Wal-Mart at the very least. I'll have to talk the wife into driving so I can play. LOL!Originally posted by candyman56You might, where are you going?

Re: Nintendo DS Lite
Yep, it's a re-release of a system basically. I walked into Walmart the day the DS released and bought mine. It's not like the 360 or PS2 or anything.Originally posted by candyman56EG, you think it might be easy to find?

Unless she wants to play, than your screwed buddy. I know I won't be able to play right away, as my wife will want to play Nintendogs.Comment

My wife usually hates gaming. As long as I don't let her know Tetris is available, then I'm good. to go.Originally posted by candyman56I like that. LOL
