Getting a Gamecube, what games should I get?
I'm going to get a Gamecube tomorrow to help quell my anticipation for the Wii and to get used to playing nintendo systems again and was wondering what games I should pick up? I'm gonna borrow MarioKart and Mario Golf from my niece as well as Super Smash Brothers.Last edited by dave360; 05-15-2006, 07:33 PM.Tags: None -

you already said Mario Kart and Super Smash, so that's good, those are a couple great games. The other games I love on the Gamecube are Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Mario Sunshine, Animal Crossing, Mario Baseball, Luigi's Mansion, and of course Zelda
Atlanta Braves - Auburn Tigers - Nashville Predators

I jumped in right away without reading any responses bro, so if this was already suggested then, my bad.
Two words.....................
Custom Robo, awesome party 4 player game, great single player experience as well. I originally got it for my son Kevin, but eventually I started to love it. We played through it a few times over in single player to obtain every mech and every piece/part.
Rent it if you must, but trust me, it is a classic and a keeper. Think along the lines of a mini board that has a mocked up terrain scenario. Then 4 little remote control mechs that you can switch up legs, weapons, body, etc.
It is awesome and highly addictive, I recomend it 100% bro, give it a shot.Comment

If you can get the game second hand or cheap, go for it. Especially since the Wii will play the GC discs. And it has been confirmed, even though the Wii has it's own 'regular' controller, that it will accept Gamecube controllers and memory cards.
I bought a ton of GC games cheap. The best were Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 1 Remake, Zelda Wind Waker, Monkey Ball, Donkey Konga and games like Resident Evil Zero and Metal Gear Twin Snakes are good for a collection too.Comment
