Me? I had an SNES. A buddy of mine had a Genesis. I liked'em both. If I ever got bored with my SNES and the games I had, my buddy and I would trade systems for a week or two. No big deal. No arguments over who had the better system. We just had fun with both.

I had fun with both but when me and my buddy would buy the same game for our respective systems, we could'nt help but debate on which one looked or played better.

I had both systems, and I would have to give a slight edge to the Genesis. I played all my sports game on the Genesis, but it also had the Shining Force and Phantasy Star games for my roleplaying fix.

I got the Super just because of the roleplaying games. Final Fantasy 3 alone was a system seller for me. Brain Lord, Chrono Trigger, Lufia, Secret of Mana and so on.

They both were great systems.

I had a Genesis. My favorite games were Tecom Super Bowl and College Football's National Championship I and II. Those were awesome.

I had the SNES.... I loved my Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball and Mario RPG games... man what a great system SNES was... I still wish I had it cause I'd still be playing Griffey just cause it was such a good game, no matter how old the game never does get old.

SNES's are still pretty easy to find, and pretty cheap. You can get 'em at mom and pop local stores, or even the major chains sell 'em for around $40 dollars. Now almost all of them are half yellow/white plastic. Every once in awhile I plug it in to play Axelay, Space Megaforce, or KG Baseball.

I was spoiled rotten as a kid so I had both and was so torn on so many titles. Couldn't for the life of me pick one but MK2 on SNES was so close to Arcade perfect it may have given it the edge.

It's one good thing as a Genesis owner back in the day, I never fell for the 32X or Sega CD. I had friends that did. Poor suckers.

I remember Sega CD was $200 and the 32X was $150, OUCH!

We definately weren't fanboys, we just enjoyed mouthing off and then taking it to the games.

I never really picked sides. I had both SNES and Genesis (but Genesis broke). I played whatever games I thought we fun. Sonic was sick especially the one with Super Sonic. That was awesome. I also played this one Charles Barkley streetball game at my friends house. Was fun as hell.

I remember my boy did some kind of sh*t to my SNES so I could play japanese games like Dragonball Z. That was fun as hell also.

It wasn't until I started actually reading up on consoles, that's when I started picking the side that suited me best. First it was Nintendo, but when my friend copped his new Playstation, I was on that sh*t everyday. WCW Nitro, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy VII. Damn I'm going offtopic.

Since I still have my Genesis and 700 games and my SNES and 1100 games...

I'd same I'm at a tie....I love them both...

SNES with the wonderful Mode-7 effects on Star Fox, Castlevania 4, Final Fantasy 2 and 3, Chrono Trigger, Final Fight Series, Contra 3, Super Mario All-Stars, Donkey Kong Country Series and the rest...

Genesis with Shadow Dancer, Shinobi 3, Revenge of Shinobi, Streets of Rage Series, Joe Montana Sports Talk, Contra Hard Corps, Sonic Series, Comix Zone, Mutant League Football, Tecmo Super Bowl 3, and so many more....

Its a tie, man I'm about to pull my systems out and bring out the memories....

OMG Donkey Kong and Super Mario Allstars, those were the main 2 that I played. Damn, I beat DK but I never finished Allstars. Usually played multiplayer w/ my bro. Damn those games were the sh*t

Genesis.... Though My sister owned the SNES (Mario Bros 3 being one of my favorite games ever) But I just loved sega games more (sonic, x-men, Mortal Kombat, Evander Holyfield boxing, World Series Baseball, Nba Action, Joe Montana football and ALL the EA sports games) But i'm still pissed that SNES had BULLS vs SUNS and sega didn't.

i was never a genesis kid.

i had a NES and this local place had tons of NES games but no genesis games. that nintendo bond grew stronger when SNES was released. from there a n64, and then a ps1 way past its prime.

I loved ken griffey baseball

I also liked that donkey kong game.

i havent played sonic to this day. its not that I hated it but i just didnt have time for two systems and what I had kept me busy.

i'd never get into arguments because I never knew the other side. I wouldnt have blind bias with my system and just hate on what i didnt have. I know friends did that. Most of my other friends didnt even have nintendos until the n64 phase, when most of them stuck with that.

Genesis had Bill Walsh College Football

SNES had Mario, Zelda, F-Zero, etc. EDIT: Oh, and Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball. I loved that game.
