There are a ton of similarities between this and GTA and some things that are far better in Saints Row. The aiming in SR is better, as well as the ability to set a destination point and the map will pretty much map the best way to get there and this cuts way down on having to constantly check the map to find your way. There are a few hiccups graphically but nothing to get overly concerned with, Saints Row is a very solid game and if you enjoyed GTA then I would definently reccomend this game.

Need some tips on passing the mission......(possible spoilers below)
It where I am in the passenger seat and I have to blow up the plane. I'm driving around but keep getting killed by rocket launchers. I cant even see the guys with them because we are moving around so much.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Saints row discussion
I haven't read any of this thread, but saw a commercial for this game on TV earlier.
Is the game better than Grand Theft Auto? Is it a clone, or does it have qualities that make it unique and different?
I don't have a 360, but am curious about the game, and how it compares to GTA in general.
Couple days late, but I'd describe Saints Row as GTA3 done better. Better graphics, manual aiming, no in-game loading, map waypoints, havok physics, and no ultra-frustrating missions (so far). I never finished any of the GTA games, because they eventually became too frustrating for me. Saints Row, on the other hand, stays fun.Last edited by greenegt; 09-21-2006, 01:47 PM.XBL: Mean Greene

When you approach the gate with the security guard and break it and take a left there will be a building. One RPG will be on the ground and one RPG will on the roof right above him. Shoot the guy on the ground first with the rifle and aim for the barrels on the roof next to the RPG guy.
Next turn you will be going off the ramp. There are two guys to the right of the ramp the platform. It's very important you shoot atleast one of them, the second one usually misses. Try killing the first guy on the platform. You can try to use a RPG but I had better success with the rifle.
After the ramp you'll take a right and see the plane for a couple seconds and unload on it as much as you can. It will be to the left. Don't use the RPG on the plane yet, just the rifle. Better hit % and there isn't much time on this part.
Next you hit the roof top and you'll stop there for a little bit. Take out the RPG guy to the right and than the guy to the left. If you don't get the guy on the left side of the roof, be careful because your fight with him isn't done.
After your off the roof, you'll go around and the guy on the roof that was on the left will be right above you. You can't see him to well but look for the corner with the barrells.
You don't have to take out the plane in the part listed above. All that is, is just to survive.
Next if you make it you start following the plane and no RPG guys in sight but two other cars trying to make your swerve. And they do a pretty good job. Don't pay attention to them as if you try to take them out than the plane, the plane will fly away. When following the plane just unload on it with the RPG and AK. I used the AK first than shot it once with the RPG and it was done.
At most I'll say you can get hit once by a RPG and make it through the level. Maybe twice if you get lucky.Comment

Anyone been witness to a holdup? I was going around buying clothes (trying to buy every piece available) and when I walked into Impressions or Branded and startted to browse the selection it knocked me out of the selections screen and I was like wtf?! and I noticed the lady had her hands up like she was being robbed but I didnt have any weapon out...then I noticed there was a guy to the right trying to rob her...I beat him bare handed and went about my business...i handt witnessed that before.
and just now Im having fun on the bridge sending people into traffic, a pimp started shooting back at me after I fired into the air...as he shoots he takes a step back and BAM!! a Hammerhead to his hip....I loved it.Comment
