I have officially given up on Prey. The rotating camera at times makes me sick and usually I don't have these kinds of problems. I only paid $50 since I had a $10 off at BB so I might be able to recoup almost all of my money on ebay.

This would have been a good game if it weren't for the camera rotating so much for wall/ceiling walking.

That's why I hated the demo. I hated that feeling of it hopping all around, and I've played FPS my whole life. That was the only game to mess with me.

It's weird cause there are some games that mess me up but others don't. Games with flashing images and or low framerates I have the most problems with. Games like Descent or Prey don't bother me.

I was expecting to be bothered by the perspective shifting, but it really hasn't bothered me at all. I'm having a great time with this game. A while back someone said they didn't understand why the aliens were speaking english. If you'll notice, they're not at the beginning. After Tommy has his "out of body experience," THEN he can understand them, and also, whenever the hawk lands near a sign, you can see an english translation for the text. Pretty cool IMO.

Scott, that was the first FPS to ever make me sick also. I tried hard to fight it even with the demo, and figured I would get over it with the full version. Not really, I got to one level and my head hurt last night and my stomach started, so I figured no way I can take anymore of this.

Picked it up. This game flat out rocks! The dark envoirments and trippy camera effects don't bother me either. I've never had any FPS make me sick and hopefully the trend continues. I love how the alien ship is essentially a living creature, cool storyline as well. A solid FPS to tide me over until Gears of War comes out.

Game Informer gave Prey a 9.5 and the "second opinion" was a 9. Game of the month. They said that the shooter action was average, but later levels have really, really great puzzles involving the spirit walking, room flipping, and teleportation devices. They also said there is a gripping twist that plays into the storyline, and the reviewer said he was moved by it BOTH times he went through the game.

Some things you just can't get from a demo.

About 20% through the single player campaign, so far so good. I can see now where all the trippy camera effects make people sick. So far, I haven't lost my lunch. Multiplayer is kinda bare bones. Just deathmatch and team deathmatch. But with 8 players it probably can still be pretty good.

Yes, single player in this game is just fantastic. What bothers me is the rotating of the camera, if I could get through that than I wouldn't mind finishing up the game.

So far this game is tough online, I get owned bigtime. It doesn't help if its a laggy game and the other players are jumping everywhere so I end up just preying(get it, *crickets*) and spraying. I really like the single player game so far. I think I'm on level 10 now.

Just beat it a little while ago. Very cool story. A short, but satisfying ending as well. While certainly not the best FPS I've ever played, it definently scores a lot of points for creativity and originality. Now bring on GOW, F.E.A.R., and COD3!
