I played the first mission and I friggin LOVE IT. I downloaded the Top Gun Music, set it up as a custom soundtrack and went to work. The controls are quite a bit different than BA, but it doesn't take long to get used to them. I'm gonna practice a bit on the "arcade settings' then move up to the sim settings. I also need to change takeoffs like Isles did. If you're a fan of flight sims, don't miss out on this one, as so far it seems pretty good. Me and Coop (non OS'er) will be playing this the majority of the night, so I'll set up a public room with all friends slots and you guys can just join when you want to.Comment

well - looks like a few things i discovered..
1) there appears to be only certain missions where you can actually take off & land yourself -- however you can actually practice this if you want...
2) Dave & I discovered that after an online game ends, there seems to be no way to keep the room together - you may have to jump back into a game after its over..Last edited by nyisles16; 06-28-2006, 05:22 PM.Comment

Isles, to unlock the FA-18 Hornet, do the carrier mission in Central Africa. You have to bomb two carriers and then it unlocks it. I'm now in Flight heaven. This game rocks. I still prefer the WWII era of planes, but these are great as well. The online lobby thing really bothers me, but hopefully we'll have a patch for it to keep the room together. It looks like mine and Texan's power of persuasion worked
We should very well have a roomful tonight.

that mission disappeared from me for some reason... planes i have so far are
F-15J, F-14 (that you start with), A-10, F-2, & the F-16Comment
