There's been a whole lot of hubbub about the next-generation of gaming and how it will take the interactive experience to a new level. So far, this new generation of design hasn't emerged. We've instead experienced prettier and at times bigger games, but nothing that truly pushes things to that next plateau. That is until this November when Ubisoft releases Assassin's Creed on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Finally we have a game with a design worthy of being termed "next-gen."

Be sure to check back with IGN at 8:30PM PST tonight for direct-feed footage of the entire demo and a new interview with the producers of Assassin's Creed.

The time the embargo is being lifted on the demo footage tells me we will probably see it being demoed tonight during Microsoft's press conference.

I know. This is the first thing I've ever read about Assasins Creed.
Can't wait to try this out. Anything that's close to the Hitman series has gotta be good for a try.

This game is one of the reasons why I'll be picking up a 360 this Fall. It looks absolutely amazing and the gameplay sounds kick-***.

ok... here's my opinion...after watching live I came away very disappointed with the game... it was rough, and buggy. It's got the bones, but the meat of the game looked like it needed work. A lot of people are on the fence... some love it, some see the flaws... I'm interested to see what everyone else thinks about the footage from the press conference. The 200 foot fall into the Hay Bale followed by the producer saying "No one must of seen me...hehehehe".... turned me off, and the clipping, and floating dead bodies made it even worse.

Someone tell me I'm wrong and just making all of this up.

Next to a couple of sport games, this is the game I want the most for 2007.

This is the first game to have social stealth and free running. I was really impressed with the live demo tonight and it doesn't hurt that Kristen Bell is doing voice work for the game.

This game has been in development for almost 3 years and I have no doubt it will live up to the hype.

I was never excited about this game until tonight when I saw the demo at the conference. It has the Crackdown elements of running and jumping anywhere you want, which is what I like.

I'll have fun just running around in this game.
