I'm a little skeptical that's in game, but it could be. Looks on par with Gears of War visually, maybe even a little better in some areas. Which is super impressive if the player count will be high.

This is coming from DICE (Sweden).

Also, EA announced they licensed Epic's Unreal Engine 3.

I can believe it; if you look, certain things aren't as detailed as the faces. Ex: The "hub-cap" on the jeep, and the gloves on the soldiers.

Either way, it looks incredible...

Thats probably what they wanted BF2 to look like but didn't have enough production time. That looks awesome though.

I think I was one of the few here who really enjoyed BF2. I'll be among the first in line to get this one, too. Especially if it looks remotely like these screen shots do.

I was definitly one who enjoyed it also, i loved multiplayer..but noone plays it so it died down for me.

Digital Illusions reveal new title - Battlefield: Bad Company

Today Digital Illusions (DICE) revealed the new title Battlefield: Bad Company for Xbox 360 and PS3. Battlefield: Bad Company is scheduled for release during 2007 and is one of the previously announced games without title.

Battlefield: Bad Company is a completely new game which uses "Frostbite", DICE's in-house developed game engine.'

So it's not using UE3.

The Swedish press release also mentions a cinematic single player, that is filled with adventure and dark humor, that has never before been experienced in the Battlefield series. The gaming world is supposed to be 90% destructable and speaks of endless possibilities. The battlefield will change forcing players to continuously change their tactics.

More information about the PC and PSP versions will be presented at a later date.

Looks damn good graphically, I just hope they add more substance to multiplayer. The capture the five zones or CTF just wasn't enough for me. Hopefully they'll add additional aerial vehicles as well.

Just saw some mag shots from the game (actual in game shots). This looks like it'll be a huge leap forward for the BF series on consoles. The environment destruction is really impressive looking from the screens.
