Dreamcast would have turned seven this year

9-9-99 is the best launch date in console history imo.

Still my favorite system ever, and I've played since the Atari 2600 days and owned systems since the Intellivision.

I may have to fire mine back up today just to reminisce. I still have about 30 games for it, many of which I am still waiting to see on any other current or next gen system (Spawn: In Demon's Hands tops the list).

Thanks for the reminder. I need to fire it up today also. I have over 120+ games for it (most are .....you know!)

I suppose a game of powerstone is in order.

Some of my all time favorite games and better looking games were on the Dreamcast. So many had bought into the Sony PS2 hype that it essentially killed the the system as support began to die around the time the PS2 was being released.

A trouble free console much like Nintendo's GameCube with gorgeous graphics. To this day Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast looks better than any version on any of the other systems.

And let's not forget all the innovative games on the DC much like Nintendos best.

                1) Seaman
                2) Toy Commander
                3) Sega Arcade Ported games
                4) Aerowings
                5) Tokyo Racer (1st in the series)
                6) Daytona USA
                7) Powerstone Series

it was also very arcade game heavy, which I'm guessing the majority of the gamers in the US dont like.

I loved my DC. Too bad they stopped supporting it.

Happy Birthday DC. I loved you so. Best gift my then girlfriend ever got me.

True story, one of my roommates then broke up with his girlfriend for six months. Til this day she still blames the Dreamcast.

Mine's in a box somewhere in the garage. Could've been a great system.

I still have my black 2k version with the black stick. DC was a really great system. Sux that they couldn't get EA support...
