Re: Dreamcast would have turned seven this year
I didn't know Dynamite Cop was ever on DC....I really liked that game, despite the fact that it was pretty mindless. Now I'll have to go snooping around to find it....Comment

Re: Dreamcast would have turned seven this year
Yeah there was an arcade version of Dynamite Cop. You have to remember that it was a sequel to Die Hard Arcade, which was a hugely popular coin-op.
A lot of Dreamcast games had arcade versions, the cool thing was that the Dreamcast versions were actually better.Comment

Re: Dreamcast would have turned seven this year
I spent hrs on hrs, on all 3 games on the Dreamcast. Also, Crazy Taxi which has been mentioned.
There was a baseball game, I think it was World Series 2k2 that was a good game.Comment

Am I the only one who never had one of these? I never knew very much about it at the time, and played it very little.Comment

My brother and I played the hell out of our Dreamcast. Great console."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Dreamcast would have turned seven this year
I won't say that the Dreamcast was my favorite console of all time, but I can definitely say that the years from 1999 -- 2002 were some of my favorite for gaming.
You definitely missed out if you didn't get to ride the Dreamcast train for those few years.Comment

I still miss the Dreamcast. I had a ton of games for it. I hate I had to sell it a few years ago.Comment

Re: Dreamcast would have turned seven this year
I bought my DC just to play NFL 2K1. The system didn't have too many title that hit home runs for me and it eventually started collecting dust while I played PS2 and Gamecube. It eventually stopped working right.
But yesterday I decided i'm going to get another one just to be able to play through Shenmue again.Comment

Re: Dreamcast would have turned seven this year
DC was my favorite system launch, so many good launch games! Also, it was probably the most 'fun' console, a real gamer's system.
I still remember how overwhelmed I was on launch day, because I bought so many titles. NFL2K, Flag to Flag Racing, Sonic Adventure, MK Gold, Hydro Thunder, Soul Calibur, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing...I might even have had Aerowings. I was buried, and it was awesome!
Man, that was a great system....so many good titles. I still couldn't believe when it went under.GO 'HAWKS!

The dreamcast, a machine that was ahead of it's time! I still have about 100 games for the console. Too bad the console doesn't work anymore.Proud Beta tester for NFL 2K Dreamcast

Re: Dreamcast would have turned seven this year
I still have my Dreamcast and it works and plays like new. I still pop it on every now and then on an old TV and play some Shenmue or Crazy Taxi. Good times with that console.
I remember when the first gameplay videos came out for Sonic Adventure, I thought it was absolutely beautiful looking. The part where he runs over the bridge with the whale jumping blew me away. Amazing how far video games have come from how beautiful that system was.Last edited by PhilliesFan13; 09-20-2012, 08:03 PM.Comment
