To me, it's just like the stock market. Buy the IPO and sell it when the it becomes more valuable. If somebody wanted a PS3 that badly, then they should have been in line earlier.

Well based on the fact the launch PS2's were complete ****,even worse than the 360 and there's not 1 game I'm intrested in untill march (where there's 2) and then after that the other 4 are still TBA I'd sell.

          2 things...

          1. Looking at your avatar, I now know why the A's bombed today.

          2. Its just a video game console...

How is buying a PS3 with the intent to sell it gambling? I guarantee you that you will make about 100% profit if you buy and sell one. I wouldn't on principal, which is my choice. The poster of this topic asked the question and I answered. I don't care what anyone else chooses to do though.

Even though I'm generally against it, if I had a ps3 I would definitely sell it on ebay. If you could somehow get more than one you could make a small fortune, especially if you put it up around Christmas like a couple guys have said on here.

Why? It's called supply and demand. If lemmings are dumb enough to pay inflated prices on eBay for a game console, then there are plenty of willing people to supply them with their machine.

I plan on taking advantage of the Lemmings. I just checked the current PS3 pre launch prices and they are averaging around $1,800. Damn straight i'm selling as soon as I get it on Nov 17th.

Now if we can just get Sony to start hyping it up more and talk about shortages it will make me very happy.

Its called capitalism....no one is putting a gun to someone's head to buy a ps3 for $2000

I understand it's supply and demand but it doesn't mean it's right. How would you feel if you really wanted a PS3 at launch but found out a lot of them were sold to people who only intend to flip it around for a large profit?

I could say the same thing about ticket scalpers. The Canucks reserved a certain amount of seats for families to selected games on family nights. The scalpers bought most of the seats to flip them around for a profit. This forced
the Canucks to change their policy. Now you must pick up the tickets at the box office and you have to have a child with you.

Now if I find out PS3's sell for over $1500+ on ebay, I need to get my hands on a couple of them to sell them for a profit.... I Keed I Keed

If people are willing to buy a ps3 for $2000 and you aren't willing to pay that much and other people are then I guess you don't "really" want one bad enough.
