Re: On Demand HDTV coming to 360 11/22
Hey look, I'm a 360 backer and have decided for that to be my system of choice, and I love the timing of this (coming along side the PS3's launch).
I just hope we get solid movies on there (I think I saw Superman Returns, but Batman Forever???) because you know Sony is going to put Spiderman 3 on the PS3.
All in all, it's a great feature. Heck, if they can get enough TV on there, I might just cancel cable.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Very nice. If MS comes out with a 100+ gig hard drive(250 would be a good size), I'd definitely buy a 360. It would be nice with a larger hard drive to have the ability to pay a little more and be able to keep the movie too, rather than have it auto deleted after 24 hours.Comment

Great news for those who don't have DVR or TIVO. I wonder if this & the Directv deal Microsoft has is what's pushing this. Too bad as I just got rid of Directv. Couldn't deal with that faulty HD-20 Reciever & the direction there going in reference to equipment(Buy it, but if you decide to cancel your service, the equipment has to be returned to Directv)
They tried that BS with me in reference to the HD DVR.I have Cable now & pay nothing for my HD-DVR

Re: On Demand HDTV coming to 360 11/22
Which HD-DVR you have? I seriously saw this coming, but man does it sound sweet or what? It looks so much better when you see it being solid. Ya'll should seriously read that Inside The XBOX book they had. It indirectly shows a few things that M$ might have up their sleeve. Kind of light foreshadowing. I sure would like a bigger hard drive too. What size would be the right size and what would be the right price compared to the $20 GB one? I'm definitely not worried about any HD-DVD coming out. By the way, what company made Spiderman?? It won't be coming out on HD-DVD?? I LOVE MY 360!!Comment

Re: On Demand HDTV coming to 360 11/22
I have an HD DVR from Dish Network which is great and pretty handy at times, but its not hooked up to the same hdtv as my 360 is.
This would allow me to have a similar feature on both hdtv's with no extra monthly fees.
Yes and like I said, this could really cut down the time it takes to buy a dvd or standing in line at the video store.Comment

This is what next gen is all about - being able to add features like this to the console itself. This is a big feature. Im anxious to see what else MS has planned over the next couple of years to keep the console fresh and cutting edge.Comment

Re: On Demand HDTV coming to 360 11/22
great news, I can't wait. I work when a lot of things are on TV and I can't watch them in HD, now that should change. Hopefully ABC and NBC with join in with the CBS family of networks.
This makes my PS3 preorder cancellation not really matter anymore. I will be waiting for a PS3 until, at least, March now.
The 360 is a great machine. ...now for a HDMI cable. Please.NFL: Tennessee Titans

Re: On Demand HDTV coming to 360 11/22
Why would you have to buy another hard drive? Watch a movie a couple of times and then delete it. I have never understood the practice of buying movie DVDs. Once I watch a movie, I don't want to see it again for several years. If I know what is going to happen, I don't enjoy it.NFL: Tennessee Titans

I read the article and unless I miss read it, it says once you watch the movie in it's entirety it deletes itself in 24 hours or that's how I read it. Too bad we can't copy the movie over to our PC's via Windows Media Center or Vista.Comment

Re: On Demand HDTV coming to 360 11/22
why would MS or the movie houses want you to pay a rental fee for a movie and get to keep it forever? I could see if they were charging full price for the movie, but that isn't the case. It may some day come to that, but this is just like going to Blockbuster and renting a movie and taking it back the next day.NFL: Tennessee Titans
