Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
Fresh air is exactly what the multiplayer game received however. Completely revamped, COD3 plays like a next-gen Battlefield 1942, complete with classes of soldiers and a ton of vehicles. Scouts can call in artillery strikes; medics can inject their miracle needle to save a re-spawn, and support gunners can lay down the .50 cal and obliterate people. In short, the COD3 multiplayer is outstanding, a complete overhaul on the mediocre mode in COD2. With a ton of game modes and huge, sprawling maps, COD3 could jump on top as one of the most popular multiplayer games this holidayComment

Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
I'll be picking this one up later tonight.
My impression trying to pick up GoW and COD3 last night
I go to EB and its 6:15pm
The morons there tell me I have to wait until 7pm to get the game because they wont sell it until then.
Then they proceed to tell me I can still preorder at the last second. I look at my watch and I have a 45 minute wait, which I cant do, and Im thinking why wont these morons just sell me the game. Why pay in full or preorder only to come back in 45 minutes to pick it up when its sitting right there.
Asked for COD3 and they say tomorrow, so I tell them I'll probably just come back tomorrow.
All the while I see them trying to hoodwink a lady into buying a PS3 asking her for a $150 deposit. 3 guys talking to her all at once. Its like they were on a mission actnig as a team double and triple teaming anyone coming to purchase something.
Needless to say, I have neither game and am patient enough to wait another day or two or three.
Looking forward to some Co-Op action.Comment

Yet right across the street, you can walk into Best buy, and pick up both, which i did. I will move the pre-order money over to RB6.Comment

Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
Just picked this up about 45 minutes ago and this game is fun/intense/beautiful/and a lot more
I am a little rusty since not having played this since last Dec.,but I agree with FF, this game is superb!!!! I think it looks better than last year, I also feel it plays a little better too. I am not sure if this was in Cod2 but I was coming into this abandoned/destroyed building and walked through a doorway and Bam!! I was knocked to the ground by the enemy and he was beating the living daylights out of me with the but of his rifle. I could not recover and was killed.
It scared the S@#t out of me. Fellows this game along with Gears of War in my opinion really justifies my 360 purchase. I was seriously thinking about the ps3, no need to now. These 2 games are the best games yet on the 360. It is definately setting the bar for other Co. Me being a EA fanboy for years, this has let me know that they really have screwed us over with their half completed projects, but that's for another forum to discuss. The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
Sounds like COD3 is a great buy. I'd pick that up too, if it wasn't for Rainbow Six coming in a couple of weeks. Something had to give. I don't have to time to get into the two new games, let alone three. Oh well, maybe I'll pick this up around Christmas time.XBL: Mean Greene

Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
Funny thing; several of the gamestops and ebgames around here in south florida got screwed and werent sent either of the games. Some confusion at the distribution center. Won't be getting it until tomorrow or friday.

Wait, bestbuy is selling this and GoW before the 12th?
The street date thing is killing me though. Stores have games and wont sell them. I think its the most ******** business sense to tell a paying customer to waitLast edited by 23; 11-08-2006, 12:23 PM.Comment

Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
I'm at the online menu where it shows all the available sessions (i.e;Dievel6's Game, Allstar54's Game) for team deathmatch (now Team Battle) but I can't get into a game. When I try to join it says "No game sessions are available". Not a good start to a game that had terrible online issues in it's previous effort.Comment
