Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
Meh, I bought the game for single player anyhow. I can say I've thorougly enjoyed it and have absolutely not desire to play online.
It is a well spent 60 bucks for me. I'll save the multi-player stuff for a game like Rainbow Six when it drops.
Until then Im, enjoying all of my games recently purchased. Online is a treat for me when I do get on, but it doesnt ruin my gaming experience because I don't.Comment

Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
Bought it last night and played for 4 hours straight. When a team is working in a coordinated manner in single capture the flag-it is a thing of beauty.
Oddly I found myself making comparisons of this to Battlefield 2Dr. MeadowsComment

Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
Just picked up this game yesterday and played a little online last night.
Questions:
1) When you are killed does the screen show a checkerboard before going to the re-spawn countdown? For some reason, mine does don't know if it's some type of glitch or what?
2) When you're killed does it re-show from the viewpoint of the guy who killed you like COD2? This is not happening on my game either...Comment

Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
HAs anyone gotten into a ranked game online yet. Mind just searches forever, the I get impatient and just play a player match.I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
COD3 has been patched.
Call of Duty fans,<o></o>
<o></o>
A quick note to check in and let you know that we’re in final test for the Call of Duty 3 multiplayer Title Update and that we hope to be released to the Xbox Live community in the coming days. We really want to thank everyone again for their continued support and feedback – you have been a tremendous help.<o></o>
<o></o>
When it propagates, the update will download automatically upon logging into Xbox Live and running Call of Duty 3. This update addresses many of the Ranked and Player Match issues that we’ve discussed over the last few weeks. While we’ve made a number of enhancements, the most significant improvement is that Ranked Matches join lobbies much faster through both Custom and Quick Match. Player Matches through Quick Match will now query a higher number of games before attempting to join, thus returning a better variety and better quality for the player. <o></o>
<o></o>
Additionally, we’ve added some gameplay, HUD and options enhancements. For example, brightness settings will be saved across both single-player and multiplayer; players will be able to instantly punish medics who maliciously team kill and revive continuously; Auto Team Balance will remain turned on after multiple map rotations, ensuring that each team always has an equal number of players; and players will be able to select either Axis or Allies in Ranked Battle games.<o></o>
<o></o>
These enhancements will create a more streamlined gameplay experience; however, please be aware that online play is always complicated by players with non-optimal router and connection settings – don’t hesitate to refer to Xbox Live’s “best practices” for router configurations, as it will prove helpful. <o></o><o></o>
Thanks<o></o>

Re: Official Call Of Duty 3 impressions
New maps coming, too.
December 20, 2006 - Today, Activision announced its plans to unload two new map packs for the WWII shooter, Call of Duty 3, on unsuspecting Xbox 360 owners. These maps will be available after the holidays and will be divided into two strategic releases. The first release will be the Bonus Map, named "Champs," which is free, and will take players through France's Port Royal de Champs. The second release is the Valor Map Pack, which will contain five multiplayer maps and will be sold for 800 Microsoft Points.
No announcements have yet been made about downloadable maps for the PS3 or Wii versions of the game, although we must assume that the lack of any sort of multiplayer in the Wii version will keep this from becoming a possibility.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
