Re: Left 4 Dead
do you guys really LOVE this game?
I told all my buddies about it, but after playing the demo I don't really like the controls (the moving and straffing feels a bit fast and as if you're floating) and the aiming has a sort of 'power-band' that doesn't jive with me either.
But since telling my buddies a few have bought it and are urging me to get it now. The thing is I don't NEED it because of all the recent games I've got. I only want it if it has half the staying power of cod4 - I still play that online, and was playing a couple of days ago!
I don't want to get this if it boils down to a few weeks of fun.
So do you guys honestly picture yourselves playing this in march?Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Left 4 Dead
The PC has: Maximum 32 players, achievements and unlocks for medic, pyro, and heavy...so far, a stream of offical maps as well as a constant stream of unoffical maps, continual updates via Steam to improve game performance, and one of the most popular shooters on the PC market.
Seriously, I played 100 hours worth of the 360 version and loved it. I then bought a gaming PC when I moved to Europe and have put into (according to XFire) 150 hours of the PC version. The 360 version is just TF2-lite as far as I am concerned. Can't wait until all 9 classes get new weapons.Comment

Re: Left 4 Dead
The 360 has: Maximum 16 players, no class specific achievements w/ unlockable weapons, no downloadable maps, some serious latency problems running online, serious lack of players online.

I didn't mind the cap at 16 players because for maps like 2fort, that was well enough.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Left 4 Dead
All the extras Valve put out on the PC version of TF2 are coming to the 360, that was confirmed a few months ago. I agree though, sucks it took so long.
You guys know how much I love L4D, nothing beats it this year as far as gaming releases. You have to remember one thing, it's a movie. Not a game per say. Explain it like this, the 2 biggest baddies are the tank and the witch, whenever both appear, the music changes, ala movies. It's not like either sneak up on you. That's what makes the game so great for me. I'm a horror film freak, especially with zombie flicks. This is the only game that I've ever played that made me feel like I'm in a movie, and a different movie everytime. No storyline, just 4 guys still alive trying to survive the zombie apocalypse.Comment

Re: Left 4 Dead
Finally picked this up today......so far, so good. I played for about 2.5 hours and it seemed like a flash.
Hopefully people will keep playing this for longer than 1-2 months. I know I will."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams
