Don't do the farmhouse, go to the barn, it's much easier to defend and then get out

We were going into the barn first, fight off a horde, and then going into the farmhouse to activate the rescue. Then we'd camp out in a room upstairs. It worked okay if we got that far but we'd keep getting puked on, run out of ammo, and if a tank showed up we were done in a hurry. I'll have to remember trying to defend during that 10-15 minutes from the barn instead of the house the next time.

• All go upstairs
• All setup in the upstairs hall way
• 1 man watchs down the stairs
• then the other 3 setup in the middle of the hall each watching a different doorway (there is 3)
• When tank arrives run outside
• Kill tank return and do all over again
• Once second tank is killed jump out back window and sprint for the dock.

The house can be easy if the 4 guys set up correctly.

Interesting with the running outside part. I never considered that, as the swarm was bad enough inside. I just camped in the upstairs bathroom, and one person always nearly gets killed by the tank as he ran inside. It gets put down quickly though and people share a health pack.

Yeah, the upstairs of the barn gives you areas to hold off the horde, when the tank comes, you can easily beat him, he has to climb up the side of the barn, you can keep shooting him, then jump down, shoot him from below, climb back up and repeat. I never beat it from doing inside the house, but have beat it 10-15 times from the barn.

Yeah, the upstairs of the barn gives you areas to hold off the horde, when the tank comes, you can easily beat him, he has to climb up the side of the barn, you can keep shooting him, then jump down, shoot him from below, climb back up and repeat. I never beat it from doing inside the house, but have beat it 10-15 times from the barn.

I've beat it from both but the barn is WAY easier to defend, your strategy works to perfection.

Defending from within the house (did this before I found out the barn was so much easier) the way I had most success with was go in the one bedroom, have 2 people go to the back of the room and cover the doorway (alternate who's shooting so you're reloads don't occur at the same time), and then two people cover the window (alternate shooting again), once tank comes jump out window and get it in the open, once its dead run back inside and repeat. Way harder than just covering the barn though.

Well it sucks I can't play with most of yall

BUT I get the DLC FREE!!!! and I get all the user created mods soooooooooo I think I am the one coming out on top :wink:

I'll hold out hope that maybe Valve can get a sponsor for the DLC like Epic did for that first Gears of War map pack they dropped.

Well u just said "being a jerk" there was no cue that there was sarcaism or messing around. So no I could not tell weather or not you were, but after my first read of the post it did look as if you were being serious.

Have we heard any more rumors about the DLC? Last I read it's probably opening up the last 2 for versus, adding a new campaign, and possibly new weapons.

That's what I have been told so far. People keep telling me it will be free though.
