Re: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
Totally agree. I have to shoot someone a few times but they have to shoot me that much more and then I get to regenerate to full health in less than 10 seconds. If people find the game too hard drop the difficulty. I just don't get this complaint.Comment

But I sort of understand what he means. It's a bit too formula-driven when it comes to killing people. Enemy Type X takes three non-headshot 9mm hits to kill, Enemy Type Y takes five, etc. Normally I aim (no pun intended) for headshots anyway though, so it doesn't really matter.
Speaking of which, I wonder why games haven't incorporated "heart shots" yet. I know you don't always die instantly from that, but you most always die, if not bleed out from it. I think one shot there should kill you more often than six shots to the foot.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
I got the Dual Pack about a month or so ago and finally got around to getting towards the end of the this one last night. What a great game. I honestly can't think of any glaring issues with it, and I can't wait to get past this last part so I can start 2. Then I'll have to go out and buy 3. $50 for the three is well worth the price.
SpoilerI mentioned this in OT last night, but when the first mutant jumped out and grabbed the pirate I freaked the **** out! Fighting them in that circular area at first I was saying out loud "oh ****, oh ****, oh ****"Then going through those halls hearing them before I knew they would always come out in front of you made my spine crawl. I would panic and 360 the camera thinking they'd jump out behind me. That hasn't happened for me in a game in a very long time.

Re: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
You guys will love it.
I know people will complain about the quality of 2 or 3, but it's a great series. My favorite series thus far."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I think it most definitely was, though I also think 3 did away with what amounts to too much shooting from cover in part 2. Then again, 3 kinda peeled back on a lot. I still enjoyed the game very much."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. My friend told me to just start with 2 and skip the first since 2 is so good. I felt I would be cheating myself if I did that so I started from the beginning and don't regret it.Comment

Re: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
Blasphemy! The story was the best in the first one. To start with the second would have missed the nice twist and character development in UC1. Glad you didn't listen to you friend. I still find the first one to be the best myself even if some of the action sequences in the first half get a little repetitive. The second half of UC2 was really, really good.Comment

I definitely thought 2 was better than 1,but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it,I also loved 3...aw hell, all 3 are amazing and I hope Naughty Dog continues this series somehow on the PS4People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
See I am in the Minority with Uncharted 1. I really really got annoyed with it. It got to a point where I knew when there was going to be a gun fight since every time there was ammo and weapons laying everywhere. The blandness almost made me not play 2 however I am so glad I did since I loved 2. Got to the end of Uncharted 3 with the sand storm and got stuck. Havent played it since.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os
