"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I got rid of it and seen my friend play it. I must say the end was ridiculously hard on normal. Also theSpoilerpart where you fight a bunch of Ghost Rider rejectsPS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
See I am in the Minority with Uncharted 1. I really really got annoyed with it. It got to a point where I knew when there was going to be a gun fight since every time there was ammo and weapons laying everywhere. The blandness almost made me not play 2 however I am so glad I did since I loved 2. Got to the end of Uncharted 3 with the sand storm and got stuck. Havent played it since.
I'm hoping The Last of Us is a bit different in that regard (at least the AI will react differently according to what you're stocked with), but I won't hold my breath.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
Uncharted 2 is the best game I've played on PS3 so far. Perfectly paced and so many "wow" moments on that first playthrough.SpoilerThe train mission. The truck convoy mission!!SpoilerI'm at the point where I've randomly come across a settlement in the desert. I feel like just having you find that place in after wandering the desert with no water was the most unrealistic thing in the entire series so far. And that's saying something since I've survived hanging off a mountain on a train car in a blizzard. It really turned me off and I restarted 2.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 02-28-2013, 05:45 PM.Comment

I don't think so but you can probably find each game for $10 used somewhere. They did have a UC1/UC2 dual pack. Amazon would be a good place imo.Comment

I think I've beaten every one at least 3x. Couldn't agree more. And the first was the biggest surprise without all the fanfare of a Metal Gear or major franchise.Comment

That's what I did when I re-purchased the series; bought the 1-2 combo pack and then picked up a used copy of 3. Cost less than $40 for all 3 games.Currently Playing:

Re: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
So while all the cool kids play the new, shiny Drake I'm jumping from Blue Point Game's previous remaster work (MGS) into the original releases of Drake's gun-slinging, treasure robbing trilogy.
I had gone through both UC1 and UC2 on Hard this past January. This past week I came back to UC1 to do my Crushing playthrough and grab any misc. trophies I had missed. Coming back to UC1 after playing UC2 is really eye-opening - particularly in those initial chapters of the game.
Everything feels small (until Chapter 5 anyway) and the controls are loose and painfully frustrating in certain, near-death sequences. That first time the camera pans out while Drake is platforming is still amazing. Yet, it wasn't until Elena came back with a winch and Jeep to bust you out of prison that the game really hit its stride again with me. For me that's when the magic of series really sets in and etches out its own niche in gaming.
Crushing was fairly manageable for most of the game. There were some end of chapter sequences that were only manageable once you memorized the sequencing of events, but I was actually able to complete the jetski sections with only one restart.
