Mass Effect was my #1, but this just replaced it.

Here's another vid. But one tidbit. We've learned that players will be downloading content from other players. Worlds will be generated copying other players worlds. Other players will be downloading copies of your worlds as well. We knew all that. But here's something I didn't know.

You will actually get reporting as to how many times your world has been copied to another players universe and also what happened to it. Was is destroyed etc. It's in this vid. Disregard the twit that's annoying Wil Wright..

In a conference call to discuss today's financial results, EA said that Will Wright's highly anticipated evolution sim, Spore, is no longer in the company's plans for the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2008. Most in the industry had expected the game to be released later this year, perhaps in time for the holiday shopping season.

The anticipation for this game is KILLER! Now by the time it comes out I'll need ANOTHER new PC (mine is only six months old and can play pretty much everything at high detail...with the exception of 'Flight Simulator X').

Geez!

If the game is as addicting as the Sims first was though, it won't matter when it comes out.

I wouldn't read much into this. I think the game will get released because it's too innovative not to put the game out. Besides EA loves anything having to do with Will Wright.

On the positive side it gives another year for the game to get polished as well as some more additions.

As I recall, The Sims and the later Sim City's were all geared towards holidy release only to be release the next after christmas and well into the next year.

This means one of two things, the game isn't close to being ready. Or they know it will be a big seller and want it to be release in the 2nd quarter or 08 to boost the company's numbers for their stockholders.

I wonder if the engine can't run on the computers that are out now and they are waiting for the technology to catch up. Because from the videos it looked like they were pretty far along.

Wright's game are always delayed though.
