Re: Fable 2
SpoilerI thought so near the beginning of the game. Just never got a good vibe from her, mainly because she sounded a lot like Kreia from KOTOR2. I went through most of the game assuming she was the ultimate bad person, and nothing she said or did ever made me change my mind.
But why the hell couldn't I have killed Reaver. Dude was a douche.Comment

Perhaps that's part of the DLC...a quest where you decide to keep or kill reaver.
After all, he tried to do the same to you...

Re: Fable 2

Re: Fable 2
Bartender is at bowerstone pub (cow + corset) and oakvale pub (sandgoose). The jobs just show up on your quest/job list. They last for a bit and then different jobs pop up. If you don't see bartending now, it will show up in a week or 2 of in game time most likely.Comment

Re: Fable 2
Well I just beat the game. Had a pretty much good character... was fun.
For those who like me have beaten the game...
SpoilerI feel like an arse for chosing the Sacrafice option. I do feel good about myself, but life without the dog is not the same. I just miss him. I was chopping wood and noticed he wasn't barking or doing a trick after every 10 I would chain.
I guess Moleyneux (sp?) succeeded in making me like the dog.
I guess it's time to start a new game..SpoilerI chose Love, even though i was a pure good guy. i loved the dog too much not to go that route. especially since i named him after my dog. lolComment

Re: Fable 2
Just beat it a little while ago. Wasn't really in love with the last hour or so of the game but I enjoyed the other 20+ hours so much I don't really mind. Kind of turned me off from going through again as a bad guy though. Probably something I'll start eventually, play for a day or two and be done with it for good.Comment

Re: Fable 2
About the doll achievement discussion a few pages back...
Talk about an annoying achievement. There are 6 (Garth, Reaver, Hammer, Lucien, Theresa and Hero doll) hero dolls in Fable 2. 1 of which can be bought from the General Trade store (the Hero doll (generic with British pants) but you can only unlock one of the other 5 in your game, so swapping them with friends is a necessity. You'll get your character hero doll from the Shooting Gallery in Westcliffe which is the second prize; between 150 and 175 points. It can be quite tricky, but if you concentrate on head shots; you can get +3 for every target instead of +1, so take your time if needs be ... But not too long.
Tips for the Shooting Gallery
- 1 headshot is equal to 3 body shots, so take that extra second to line up.
- Practice makes perfect; learning where they pop up and moving is a good way to get ahead.
- Try to aim for about 60 on sections 1 and 3 (easiest) leaving yourself with 30 for section 2 (although it's more than easy to get a lot more than that).
- Sticking to one area on the shooting gallery can help. e.g. The roof on section 1, the far left of the bridge and hut on section 2 and the platform on section 3.
- If it seems impossible to get a headshot because of the scenery, chances are the bullet will pass through it, so take that in to account on some (namely the dude in the doorway on section 1 and the dude on the far left of the bridge on section 2).
- If you can, try and use the Master Flintlock Pistol because it has good accuracy, good rate of fire and a quick reload time, although, the Championship Pistol is just as good.Comment

Re: Fable 2
Another tip for the shooting gallery,
Spoilerdo it after you have given Barnum the 5k to invest in the town and he's turned it into an 'amusement park' town after your return from the spire. Instead of shooting at the smaller villager targets, you'll be shooting at the larger bandit targets. Makes it a little bit easier.Comment

Anyway, kind of a random thing, but whenever I hear pigeons my GTAIV gamer kicks in and I want to pull out my pistol and go looking for them.

Re: Fable 2
On another note, I put in probably 10 or so hours before I figured out the whole gargoyle thing. It was driving me crazy whenever I'd hear that annoying voice taunting me. I must've killed 10 innocent villagers thinking each one was the culprit before I finally realized it wasn't them bad mouthing me.Last edited by TJdaSportsGuy; 10-28-2008, 06:09 AM.Comment

Re: Fable 2
SpoilerI noticed you and I finished the game at the same time. I saw your little icon there. I totally cheesed the end to get all 3 achievements for choosing sacrifice, love, and wealth. I picked one, got the achievement, went back to the dashboard, loaded my game, picked the next, etc.
I wound up going with sacrifice as my final choice. After seeing that the results didn't reward me with enough "Good" points to get my guy looking like a normal human again, I went on a killing spree. Now I have the horns and I'm a brownish color. Good times!Comment
