Re: Harmonix's Rock Band now with Impressions

Isn't the bundle supposed to come with a USB hub? I'm on PS3 and only have 2 USB ports (40GB).

This game is awesome by the way! I can't wait for my new band to come over tonight.

The PS3 bundle did not have a hub, unfortunately. It looks like I have to buy one separately, which sucks because that's about another $20-25. I wish I had one for last night because we had about 8 people in my basement and could only play 2 instruments at a time.

Aside from that, this game is a blast!! I never seen so many people laugh so hard on a weeknight in a basement. It was a comedy show. A couple of my friends said they are coming back Friday night to conquer "Enter Sandman" and want to be able to play 4 instruments (3 and a mic) at once. This game is so much fun.

Thanks for all of the impressions guys.

yeah, no hub in the PS3 bundle. Luckily I have a 60gb with 4 ports, but doesn't any USB hub work with the PS3? Add that on to the ever increasing price of this game, LOL. At least the game is worth it.

Does this mean you are getting the extra guitar? You won't regret it.

"Sandman" is one of those that people really want to beat, probably because it's the most well-know difficult song. When we play during a "Rock Band party" I usually am needed on guitar when I'd rather sing it because it's one of the few that I can sing well.

You're damn right I will be getting another guitar (and USB hub). I told my wife it will be my Father's Day present. I already have some dudes lined up to play in the band on Friday night. The funniest memory of last night is my buddy (who looks like he should be in the movie 300) singing "Message in a Bottle". "I'll send an S.O.S......" Hilarious!

I have been rocking out all morning. It's my birthday, so my wife took our two little guys to her sisters for the day so I have some free time. She's awesome. My plan is to play this game until my leg cramps on the drums and get a workout in.

                    This game rocks!

Keep the stories coming J-Unit. I recently formed a "band" with some family members and there's already grumblings of replacing my sis in law as lead singer. LOL. She got us booed off stage a couple of times. Everyone is scoring in the 90% range on everything, and she's struggling to hit 40% on vocals on easy. I think my sole purpose on guitar/bass (expert) is to bail her out after she fails the song. LOL.

You're right though, great, great fun, especially with a group that doesn't take themselves too seriously.

Speaking of local bands, haha. The people I play with are all getting really good. Originally, it was just me and my friend Isaac who were ringers on guitar and bass because in real life we play guitar and bass. But my brother and his friend started getting nice, and Isaac started getting sick on the drums. I can even do the singing on Expert now(gasp!). We're planning a marathon for Endless Set list on Expert soon. We're getting sandwiches and subbing out, haha!

We did the endless setlist with 3 of us on Medium and 1 of us on hard and it was incredibly hard. I can't imagine all 4 on expert.

I'm pretty much the Jack-of-all-trades of my local band. I can play most songs on expert on bass, sing most songs on hard (every song on medium), and can play every song on drums on medium and a bunch on hard. I have 2 friends that can play guitar on expert, so I don't go near the guitar.

This all sounds pretty cool. I wish I had more people to play with. I can do everything on Expert, except sing. I can't sing at all, so I don't even bother trying.

Pretty much everyone I know plays at least one instrument on Hard or Expert. I'd like to play with a full band with everyone on Expert one day. I also wish you could play at different levels without having to slow down the scrolling.

You guys are conspiring to kick your sister in law out of the band, yet at the same time you say it's fun to play with people that don't take themselves too seriously.
