I wonder if CC will have another cool deal like they did with GH2, where they gave those 1600 point cards with the purchase.

LOL. The Best Buy's in Tennessee must not have much volume at all. They are never on these lists unless it's for a console.PS4: aBayBates

Re: Harmonix's Next Game Revealed...Rock Band
Gamestop in my area stopped preorders on the game today. One of my buddies said they have more pre orders than shipment.I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Re: Harmonix's Next Game Revealed...Rock Band
Oh dear lord, Rock Band fixed all of its play list issues. Metallica: Ride the Lighting, Blackened, And Justice for All. WOW
Rock Band DLC priced, detailed
Bundle options and release schedule explained for the upcoming download-driven rhythm game from MTV and Harmonix.

Since Rock Band was first announced by Harmonix and MTV Games in March, the developers have made no secret of their ambitious plans for downloadable content. As the game's release has drawn closer, information about those plans has trickled out. At the E3 Media and Business Summit, Harmonix said it would be offering full downloadable albums from artists like The Who, with more tracks from Metallica, The Grateful Dead, and The Ramones among those that gamers could add on to the retail game.
With Rock Band set for release next Tuesday, Harmonix today finally took the wraps off its downloadable content model today. The studio has apparently heard complaints regarding the mandatory three-song bundles and $6.25 price point adopted by the Guitar Hero franchise's downloadable content, and is giving gamers a bit of a break.
Rock Band will still feature pre-selected three-song packs for download, but they will instead cost $5.49 (440 Microsoft points on Xbox 360). Songs will also be available individually for $1.99. Harmonix has said future songs will be sold individually for as little as $.99 (80 Microsoft points), and as much as $2.99 (240 points). However, "the vast majority" will come in at the standard $1.99 price point. The developer did not say how much full-album downloads would be, or when the first albums would be released.
Harmonix also detailed its release schedule for the first five weeks after Rock Band launches. The opening week will be highlighted by track packs from Metallica, The Police, and Queens of the Stone Age, with individual songs from Creedence Clearwater Revival, Foreigner, T-Rex, and more. Downloaded tracks will be integrated into all of the game's modes, and will be playable online only if all players have purchased the songs.

Re: Harmonix's Next Game Revealed...Rock Band
Just read some impressions on the RockBand website. I could see the World Tour mode getting very annoying. One guy said you can't just pick the songs, they are picked for you. He said he's played the Weezer song like 20 times already, and hasn't seen over half the songs yet. Every gig he has to play the Weezer song. If you hate a song, that could make World Tour verrrrrry long.
People were asking if he's played Enter Sandman and he said no, and he's been playing for a couple days. You can't just choose any of the songs to just play, they have to be unlocked, and he has no clue how to go through other than continually play the same songs over and over and over again.
I really hope he sucks at the game and is wrong..LOLComment

Re: Harmonix's Next Game Revealed...Rock Band
I just can't decide about this one. At one point, I'm all about this and will be buying it next week, then I hear something that's just stupid and makes me not want to spend the $$. I put 5 games on ebay to offset the cost of this if I decide to buy it, but I just don't know. It's not exactly going to be the easiest thing to sell on ebay if you don't like it considering the box is so damn big.
EDIT - thread in question
I guess it's because you are a "band" and your fans expect you to play the same hits every gig. I mean, this could get really old.Last edited by ExtremeGamer; 11-16-2007, 10:24 AM.Comment

Re: Harmonix's Next Game Revealed...Rock Band
I guess, I keep thinking that as well. If the drums end up not being that much fun, then I have another Guitar Hero, with many of the same songs repeated. So torn on it, I have it fully paid off, but just wonder if I'm wasting money on it and it'll sit there.

well they sell the game on its own, so you can always just opt out of the big box and just get the game for the guitar.Comment
