Ugh yeah..its Kind of a big deal.

I've always wanted to get my hands on this game, but no one I know owns it. I've always wanted to try it at like Best Buy as well, but those instruments are always broken (plus it's the drums that I really want to try). I suppose if this is something you can rent, including the drums, then I will try that. Until then, RB2 is probably a Christmas present away. Since I'm already "not allowed" to bring Guitar Hero to school with me, though I hardly play it compared to my PS3 games, there is no way in hell I'd be allowed to get RB2 during the middle of the semester, if not the year.

Maybe I'll just wait until RB3. But I still need to find a way to play this game before that.

Hmm... sounds like I need to play this "Rock Band."

Don't feel bad, I played my share of Guitar Hero and only picked up RockBand on Sunday. That being said, it is a blast and much more captivating than the GH series for me. I've stuck mostly with guitar & bass thus far as my wife is monopolizing the drums, not that I have much drumming ability with which to work.

Speaking of which, I was messing around on the 'skins' before we did some multiplayer and I had an easier time keeping the beat & higher percentage playing a few of the easier songs on hard difficulty as opposed to medium. Guess it was easier for me to follow since medium cuts out some of the parts. Of course as soon as the off-beat stuff starting coming at me I went completely in the tank, but for the staying with standard rhythm of a song, hard made it easier for me to follow. Guess I'd better stick to air drumming in the car...

I don't know how many of you guys are actually playing online, but if you want to play a score duel later on this evening, I'd certainly be up for it.

I've been playing some random folks and for the most part, its not bad but I actually was about to go 100% on "I Think I'm Paranoid" and the person just quit on me. I was pissed.

I don't think anyone has mentioned it so far but holy **** at drums. I'd fail 15 seconds into the song. Insane.

I used to be firmly in the GH camp. GH3 was the first GH game I had ever played, and I loved it from the very first second of playing "Hit me with your best shot". I played the heck out of GH3, and even bought the Rock Band disc, because I was in love with being a fake guitar hero. Well, I didn't enjoy Rock Band as much, mainly because it was pretty easy and it just wasn't GH. I supposed I was just too adverse to change.

Well, after a buddy of mine picked up Rock Band, and we had multiple jam sessions, and then picking up GH2 and playing that a bunch, GH3 is almost unplayable to me now. I never noticed it when I didn't know any better, but the charts don't make any sense. I finally noticed it when I tried to play the Top Gun Anthem, and saw that there is just no rhyme or reason to the note charts. Sometimes notes are HO/PO's, and other times, you have to strum the exact same notes.

Anyway, I'm glad I've finally seen the light. Rock Band is a great game. I'm glad that even though I missed the boat the first time around, I'm glad I finally saw the light. GH can still be fun, but it's just not as good for me anymore.

I was the same way. Had GH2 and 3. Played them a lot and really enjoyed them. When RB came out I was like cool but I'll never get it its to expensive and its only for the drums anyways. I thought the guitar looked to easy and that singing woudn't be any fun. Well I got bored of GH3, mostly because the note charts sucked and its got really hard at the end on expert.

I picked up Rock Band. Never played GH since. Superior in every way.

I've never played RB online, but I'm up for some. All I can play is guitar though, I don't have a drumset. Not sure if you can do score duels with different instruments or not... never played it before lol. I'll see if I'm on later tonight. And I won't quit. I hate quitters...

I will admit that since we got Rock Band, my GH playing has gone down drastically, but I still go back every so often to play some of the songs, like the Dropkick Murphys pack and some of the default songs

Man, I've been playing quite a bit the last week or so. Been going back and Gold Starring Guitar Solo Player.

Managed to pull myself into the top 8700 players on XBOX LIVE. Not too bad.

I finally did it. I passed Flirtin' With Disaster. The end of that solo kept kicking my *** but I finally got through it.
