    Re: Tom Clancy's End War

Anyone else play the demo? I was pretty impressed with how well the voice stuff worked. It's only a demo, but I had very few times where I needed to repeat myself and didn't have to worry about saying the commands too slowly.

    Definitely a rent for me.

I've mostly played Star Craft and Civilization. The game demo was boring and lack of depth. BUT, that is what I expected by a demo. So, it will be a wait and see.

Played the demo, wasn't too impressed. I'll stick to RA to satisfy my strategy needs.

I liked the demo quite a bit, the voice command system was pretty damned accurate. I'll be picking this game up for sure.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I just played the demo, thought the voice command system was very cool and worked well. I'll probably give this a rent.

Anyone bought this game. I liked the demo a little and am looking for the next game to add to my collection.

Not really a Fallout or GOW2 kind of guy and I think I would like this one... Any thoughts about it???

is this more of an online multiplayer? or can it be single player strategy based?

is this strictly a strategy based game or can you play from a fps perspective???

I'm not big on this game at all. Really disappointed me, as I was expecting much more.

What about the game are people not liking? I'm on the fence on this one and would be interested in hearing more detailed reviews.

Surprised by the lack of attention this game is getting. I've been keeping an eye on this one for awhile, tried the demo last night and liked it. The local Blockbuster doesn't have this to rent so I think I'll buy it.

The game has alot of underlying strategy to it that you have to play the game to see evolve. Alot of the perks your units get make a big impact on the battlefield. Usage of the terrain is important also.

Ionce tried to take a uplink with tanks that was near buildings that the cpu had garrisoned with engineers. Those engineers ate my tanks and gave my helicopters a run for their money. I had to use arltillery to clear them bastards out before I could take that uplink. So you cant just steam roll in with tanks and think you are gonna win. The game gets pretty deep as you go.

Also I like the dread you feel when the game goes into defcon, LOL. You think, uh-oh next think you see is a flash of white light and your whole squad in that area vaporised. Its a game changing event for sure.

If you like strategy games I think you should at least give it a rent. The demo does not do the game justice as you cant upgrade your battalions like you can in the full version.
