LOL, don't worry. You're not alone, I'm finding it very challenging moving from medium to hard also. Adding the extra fret throws off my muscle memory totally.

Do you think the game has a high lasting appeal/replay value?

I played it at a friend's last night on Wii, and it was great, but I'm curious if the systems without online features (PS2, and Wii?) have the staying power to keep me coming back for more playing.

you can battle online with the Wii just like the other systems. Just no downloadable content (at first?).

Yeah, the Wii still has online play, but I'm not sure how Neversoft will handle any DLC for the Wii - they may just decide to not do any DLC. I would say GH has a pretty high replay value if you have friends come over and play and I would say its one of those games that you just pick up and play for fun from time to time.

I must've gotten mine linked up just before the shutdown. I had no problems linking it, and it was around 8:30 central last night.

88% 3 Stars. It's a piece of cake. Just requires some stamina in your hands.

The only song I can't get past is Raining Blood - the intro is just too damn hard. Only song I failed.

If you beat your Career in say, Hard, do you by chance get the Easy and Medium achievements? I hated that in GH II you had to actually play each difficulty to get those achievments for the lower difficulties. After mastering GH 1 there was no way I could have started part II on anything less than Hard (it would just be too boring).

I started GH III on Hard as well, just curious.

I am hopeless at this game on difficulties above easy.

I have no timing whatsoever when I have to use my pinky to hit the blue notes.
