Re: Guitar Hero 3
Yes, it does work with Rock Band.
I'm getting the Rock Band bundle only because I want the drums and the guitar is sweet. Those 2 alone with the game are over the 180 price tag. So the mic and dongle for free, totally worth it to me.
I sold my guitar back to Gamestop about 2 months ago, got $35 for it I think.
If I could get my wife to sing......I'll get the full set for sure, since I wouldn't mind playing the drums too. Basically you can play any instrument correct?Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 3
Anybody try the Guitar Hero III demo that is available with the new issue of OXM? It has 5 songs.
I was worried that since Neversoft is handling the development and did not have access to any of the code that Harmonix created, that the game would just feel different. Luckily, it looks like it still plays like the GH we know and love. I did not notice any difference in how the game felt or in the timing of the notes.
The art style is different and I think I like the previous game's style more, but the gameplay is still there (and the song list is pretty impressive). I am not really liking the sound of these "Boss Battles", but hopefully they don't get too much in the way of just playing the game and enjoying the music.Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 3
I don't have the demo, but I've read that the songs on it are:
Lay Down (by Priestess)
Even Flow (by Pearl Jam)
The Metal (by Tenacious D)
Hit Me With Your Best Shot (as made famous by Pat Benatar)
Rock You Like A Hurricane (as made famous by Scorpions)
Good to hear that it still plays as well as GHII.Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 3
I played it last night, I don't think I remember them all.
Even Flow - Pearl Jam
Rock you like a Hurrican - Scorpions
Hit me with your Best Shot - (Pretty sure this was the one)
A Tenacious D song, don't remember the name
And another song, which I don't remember the name but was cool and fun to play.
I will have to check again tonight. I was just siked to see Even Flow on there!
EDIT: There you go, what Krioniq said.Comment

Ran by my bro's house this morning and got to play the demo.
Let me just say...
ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE IS THE MOST KICKA$$ SONG TO PLAY IN THE HISTORY OF GUITAR HERO
It took all of my willpower to drive back to the office.AUBURN TIGERS
MINNESOTA VIKINGS
