Re: Guitar Hero 3
I started working on Hard mode with Guitar Hero 2 today. I had a hard time with it a few months ago so I stopped playing on hard and went back to Medium. I said for the hell of it today that I would try again, I got through the first tier and on to the 2nd. Hard isn't too bad if you practice some of the songs if your having trouble.Comment

That said, I still haven't even 5'd every hard song on GH1, let alone II or 80's. And I probably never will get Psychobilly Freakout.Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 3
I just played this in Gamestop, and I was a little disappointed. The hit window is huge now, which makes the game much easier. I was killing the demo songs on expert, and I could barely even hear it. People complained about the difficulty of GH2, and it looks like Neversoft listened and really dumbed the game down. Maybe it won't be so bad on some of the harder songs on expert, but I felt like I was sleepwalking through the game, and just rubbing my fingers around the fretboard and getting high scores. The new guitar felt better though. Felt heavier and the strum wedge was stiffer, which should lead to more precise alternate picking.
I thought of getting this and Rock Band because of the playlist, but it looks like I'll just be getting Rock Band.Last edited by Bornindamecca; 10-27-2007, 05:07 PM.Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 3
I actually like the sound of that. I can tell you that I was nailing some of the larger pull-offs and what have you - and the game just wasn't registering it. 80's was much better than 2 for me, as 2 was better than 1... I'm hoping 3 is even better in terms of this. Because really, GH makes songs so much harder than they really are... When I can nail a song on a real guitar, and hit 60% on GH something seems off. And it's not because I can't hit the buttons, but because the way it registers them - it's just not picking the notes up well enough at times.
For me personally, I'm looking forward to the drums on Rock Band anyway. I got what I needed out of GHII(never played the other versions) and with the dumbed down version of part III, it'd just be sleepwalking though the whole set list anyway.Comment
