EDIT: Got it worked after downloading it again and using a save outside the Rotunda. Looking forward to extending this awesome game.

I have a save outside the Jefferson Memorial, and one inside right near the end. The content was downloaded prior to the last battle so it was done in time.

I'm downloading it now again to see if that works but has anyone faced this problem before? All my other DLC's for this game have worked but this.
      Had the same problem

      I think the solution is

      1) download broken steel
      2) load extra content
      3) make sure internet plug is still in when you start up fall out 3 and keep it in

      that should work

it will take you to last save then something new happens to continue the game

Fallout 3 Mothership Zeta Priced and Dated + Screens

Bethesda provided today an update on the next Fallout 3 DLC, Mothership Zeta. The publisher confirmed that Mothership Zeta is scheduled for release on Monday, August 3, 2009 for 800 Microsoft Points. Bethesda also released new info on the story and features of Mothership Zeta:

A strange Alien signal is being broadcast throughout the Capital Wasteland, originating from a crashed UFO. Is it a distress call, or something far more sinister? That question is answered when you find yourself beamed aboard an enormous Alien spacecraft, with only one alternative – to fight your way to the bridge of the ship and secure your escape.

Defy hostile alien abductors and fight your way off of the massive Mothership Zeta, orbiting Earth miles above the Capital Wasteland. Mothership Zeta takes Fallout 3 in an entirely new direction – outer space. Meet new characters and join with them in a desperate bid to escape the Aliens’ clutches. To do so, you’ll wield powerful new weapons, like the Alien Atomizer, Alien Disintegrator, and Drone Cannon, and deck yourself out in brand new outfits, like the Gemini-Era Spacesuit and even Samurai Armor.

        Features
        • Find and exploit new and destructive alien technology, like the Alien Atomizer and Drone Cannon.
        • Explore the vast Mothership and learn the secrets of the Aliens’ master plan.
        • Thwart the Aliens’ attempt to stop your escape, and take over the Alien ship before it wreaks havoc on the unsuspecting Earth below.
        • Fight against the Alien Invaders, their robot drones, and turn their own horrible experiments against them.
        • Ally yourself with an unexpected array of characters, both from the Capital Wasteland and from Earth’s past.
        Screens

The alien DLC could be badass. I always wanted to know more about them when I accidentally stumbled into the same UFO crash they're probably talking about.

I got fallout 3 when it first came out and played it a ton, didn't beat the game though. Didn't want to play it again when I heard they were removing the ending where you couldn't continue. Then when I heard they were coming out with a game of the year edition which had all 5 expansions I decided to trade mine while it still had some good value. Can't wait to play this again later this year. Also getting $50 worth of DLC on the disc is a great deal.

'Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta' New Weapons, Perk Revealed

Speaking with Jeff Gardiner, who has been at the helm of the "Fallout 3" DLC content, I was curious what sort of weapons we'd be seeing in Mothership Zeta, the upcoming alien-centric expansion. Thankfully it looks like there is plenty to keep our trigger fingers humming:

"Mothership Zeta is full of the most high tech weaponry in the game. It includes a Shock Baton for melee fighters, multiple new firearms including an Alien Atomizer, a pistol, and the Alien Disintegrator, a new rifle. There's also a new grenade type, a Cryo Grenade, which freezes enemies for a short period of time. On top of that there are new unique weapons, and a new heavy weapon."

Gardiner continued, saying that there will also be a new perk to unlock, called "Xenotech Expert."

"It increases the damage you do with alien weapons, including the Alien Blaster if the player had found that in the wasteland."

The perk will be mission-specific, though, since this DLC (along with all forthcoming DLC packs) doesn't increase the level cap.

Once you've finished with the Mothership main quest, you'll still be able to return to the alien ship. There's definitely a reason to journey back, as the ship houses an item called "Alien Epoxy" which can automatically repair an item by 25%, even if you don't have a duplicate. Great news for all the Gauss Rifle fans who have only been able to repair it to 50% with vendors.

Eurogamer: Mothership Zeta Review - 5

Where Mothership Zeta really falls down is the complete lack of inspiration in the mission design. Generally you can rely on Bethesda to intelligently weave complex scenarios around practically anything, with the key characters each having their own specific agenda. Once you've taken in the situation, it's entirely down to your own moral leanings as to which direction you decide to take any given mission. Never quite knowing who is really the good guy, or the least bad guy has made for some thrilling missions in past Bethesda games (and past DLC), but none of that applies here. At best, you can rope in some characters to help kick arse, but for the most part you're reduced to the most soulless of gameplay tasks - breaking machines by pressing buttons.

With repetitive, largely uninspired corridor combat, and boring, linear and samey mission design, the least you'd hope is that there would be some supplementary side quests to extend the lifespan - but not so. Having delivered five main quests, five side-quests and three unmarked quests in the vast Point Lookout expansion, to follow that up with such a limited DLC pack is curious. Throughout its programme of downloadable releases, it felt like Bethesda was learning and improving its output. But having started poorly with Operation: Anchorage, it concludes Fallout 3 in equally disappointing fashion.

guys who have all or most of the dlc...

if you had to pick only one to buy right now, which would it be?

I think point lookout looks really interesting as does the pitt, but broken steel or whatever increases the leveling...but does it come with enough quests?

heeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllp me.........i'm so hungover and just want to get a dlc and play the game all day.

broken steel is the top DLC to get. It changes the horrible ending, has an epic main quest, and introduces some new weapons and enemies.

                      I rank them like this....

                      Broken Steel
                      Point Lookout

Broken Steel is my favorite DLC, but the Pitt is a close second.

The only thing worth getting in Ancorage is the snow power armor that never degrades, the shock sword and the gause rifle(1 hit kill on most enemies). Oh and I was wondering, does playing Operation Ancorage automatically give you power armor training? I finished Ancorage and got that power armor, the funny thing is it let me wear it right away. I didn't even have to wait until I got into the citadel to get training, lol.

yes the simulation trains you automatically. The Gauss rifle is awesome, but you need the Zeta DLC to get the ability to repair it fully.
