So I assume this game is a rental? From what I've read, it doesn't look to be worth $60.

To me it was and still is a must buy. But I pretty much am a die hard Spider-man fan.

Man just finished off the Kingpin tonight with a buddy... the man lives up to his name!

Really looking forward to the Venom battle...

Double Eights, just so you get both perspectives from a die hard Spider Man fan, i'd suggest renting it. Different strokes and all that, but it gets very frustrating. Not in a "this is very challenging" way, but in a "my fingers are going to fall off from constantly pressing RB and LB" kind of way.

I agree with both you guys, even being a diehard Spidey fan myself, I like the game but the game does get frustrating. I think the "Action Button" sequences have been overdone just a little bit to the point where it becomes quite a bit of trial and error. There is no real strategy to "trial and error" type of games as they don't even give you much of a hint on what you need to do with most of these bosses.

I'm going to see the actual movie tomorrow, after I take a final. I'll stop by Blockbuster to see if they have it for rental.

I don't know...I like the timed button press stuff, and really am not getting that frustrated with it. I honestly really like this game. I know it's kinda weird that Spidey disarms bombs, but the way they handle it is fun for me. I'm more interested in the random crimes at this point than the storylines, but still play them, and enjoy them quite a bit.

I'm glad I didn't listen to all the bad press...yes, it has some issues, but for me, the whole is better than the sum of its' parts...

Okay....I am stuck on two Boss missions, so I'll tag 'em with a spoiler and ask for help here...


SPOILER!!!!




1) The Lizard - Part 3: The Hunter and the Hunted. I have absolutely no idea how to beat Craven and all the lizards at the part where Craven goes all invisible in the water and the lizards keep coming and coming. Any hints? NEVERMIND...BEAT THIS ONE.

2) The fight with the Kingpin in the hallway. How the hell are you supposed to beat him? Nothing works.

I think this game is pretty fun, and can't wait to beat these two missions so I can go on. Only in-game thing I don't like is the Black-suit doesn't seem more powerful than the regular suit.

Alright, this seems hard as hell once you figure it out it is pretty easy. Well, kind of.

What you want to do is fight really conservative UNTIL you have your special filled up.

What I mean it tap LB all the time and try to do as many counters as you can. Get a punch or two in and jump away. Don't get pinned into corners either, as soon as you realize you are getting pinned jump away.

Once you build on your special jump away and start tapping RB to activate it. Don't use a special move though just go start doing combos while you have it and are glowing red. You should get a good 25-30 something punches/kicks in. Once you lost it go back to conservative mode and build up that special.

Going with him head on with no special you will always lose. So remember couple punches/kicks in till you build up your special. Once you do it is time to go on the attack.

Constantly tapping LB in this one is a must!

Here's a good and cheap way to beat the Kingpin. Press up on the D-Pad (not analog) to web up to the ceiling. Sit there and press RB until you fill up your rage meter. Once it's full, jump down hit Kingpin with the RB+A special, it takes a good chunk from his life. Do this 5 or 6 times and it's over.

lol, my strategy is basically the same. There's no real way to beat the guy without pulling some long technique like that.

On the 360, you get the black suit by beating the story mode of the game-that's it. Whether there's any more secrets or not, I don't know (playing as Venom would be very cool!)

Yeah I rented the game, and I have gotten one total token. It was on top of the Empire State Building. Other than that, nothing.
