Heh, I still play Splinter Cell Conviction too. Still an awesome game in my book.
Lately I've been playing the Hunter and Last Stand games of all the Insurgency maps from the Deniable Ops mode, and they are absolutely no joke. It's too bad that it has become tough to find a co-op partner these days.

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)
Yeah I also love doing the co-op stuff from time to time with buddies still. I thought the kill-everything-in-sight button was never the right touch for the game, but otherwise I do think they made some nice steps forward.
I'm ready for the remastered set to come out, too.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). I write it, and it hits your inbox every Friday morning (for freeeeeee). We also have an official OS Discord you can now join.Comment

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)
I haven't gotten too far in the game yet since I'm splitting time between this and Infamous 2, but I really like the gameplay mechanics. Graphically I feel a little bit underwhelmed in a few areas but the story and gameplay are top notch.Comment

I have to admit that the Mark & Execute system is a godsend for Last Stand games. But with that said, I do think it needs to be refined a bit if UbiSoft decides to stick with including it for future SC games. It can be an unfairly abused feature since it's possible to use it like a radar for situations when a guy that's tagged but cannot be executed from his current position can still be tracked via the grey cursor. I believe the M&E cursor should either be shown red or the cursor should completely disappear from the screen.

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)
I like this game as well but it certainly caters more to the action side and less to the stealth which was originally this franchise's roots. No more stashing bodies, no knife kills. I felt the older games had more freedom as you could be stealthy or guns blazing. This one caters more to the guns blazing side to me.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)
Recently getting into purchasing the PC versions of all 5 SC games (played 2-1/2 of them on the Xbox1). I bought a Conviction copy new of a guy on ebay, but it arrived as "a permanent internet connection is required to play the game" and couldn't install it (haven't installed any other versions as of yet). Is this an add-on to a single player Conviction version for online multiplayer only??Comment
