Re: Starcraft II Officially Announced
Just got back into this the last couple of days. Haven't played any real matches yet, just been playing against the computer to get my APM and build orders down.
I'm still pretty bad, but I'll probably be on some Sunday if anyone wants to have a friendly match. Friend info is in the sig.
edit: just moved up to "very hard" on comp difficult on MP. I got rolled bad.Last edited by KSUowls; 01-08-2012, 02:32 PM.Comment

Re: Starcraft II Officially Announced
So, necro bump, but in case people didn't hear, Stacraft 2 is now free to play. Given that there are three separate expansions/games, what does this mean?
The entire Wings of Liberty campaign is free. Multiplayer is free. Coop Commanders (sweet mode, btw) is free. If you bought Wings of Liberty but didn't get anything else, you get Heart of the Swarm for free. The arcade is completely free.
If you've never played SC2 before, or haven't played in a long time, you should know that there are some micro transactions. No transactions give you a playable advantage in any mode. These are:
-Skins - cosmetic only. For use in multiplayer.
-Announcer packs - For use in multiplayer only.
-Emotes and sprays - cosmetic only. For use in multiplayer.
-Nova Ops missions - a group of nine missions focusing on our favorite ghost, Nova. These missions are a lot of fun, but are not part of the main story.
-Legacy of the Void campaign - This is the third, and final, campaign for Starcraft 2. A lot of fun, and recommended if you liked the first two campaigns.
-Coop commanders - some are free from the start. The newer ones will cost money if you want to play them past level 5.
So if you want to learn more, or download, check out https://starcraft2.com/en-us/
If you're interested in getting started, but don't know what's what, the SC2 subreddit has a good guide for newer players: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/c...layers_thread/
And if you're looking for somebody to play with, I'm always game. My schedule is a little weird the next few weeks because of Thanksgiving and all, but I'm happy to help all players, returning and new.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Starcraft II Officially Announced
I do love this game and occasionally do comp stomps (vs AI) with my brother online. I have admittedly never tried the coop commander stuff, I should check that out.Comment
