Re: Starcraft II Officially Announced
I wouldn't count on too many more changes to the Zerg and Terran other than what you saw from Blizzard before their tournament in Korea. I mean, there might be 2 or 3 more new/overhauled units for either race, but don't expect a complete overhaul like the Protoss.

You'd figure after the UED's failure the Terran would beef up their forces a bit.Last edited by BatsareBugs; 06-14-2007, 10:00 PM.Comment

Re: Starcraft II Officially Announced
Not really what I meant, I wanted to see what the Terran and Zerg have to offer since all we've seen were the Reapers, Golaiths, Marines, and Battlecruisers for the Terran and Zerglings and whatever those wurm like things are for the Zerg (I'm curious to see what those are).

Like the Terran with the jetpack (forgot name). And Zerglings could combine into a suicide unit. The worm thing was explained during the first demo in Korea, though not explicitly. It's a transport unit that moves underground. It looks to hold around 12-16 or so Zerglings. But once it surfaces, it cannot go back down again and thus renders itself useless(at least from the video, it makes no sense for the worms to just stay there and take attacks). Makes perfect sense though, an underground transport that can be recycled will just screw with the balance of the game.
And I think the Marines got a slight upgrade. Forgot what it was. It's equivalent to how the Zealot had the burst of speed thing. But does something different.Comment

Yeah true. But we did see some things.

The worms sound pretty cool. I just want to know if any other units changed (Wraiths, Science Vessels, Devourers/Guardians, etc.)
I can't wait for the final product though. Too bad no more Carriers for those newbs.
Edit: Oh yeah, exploding zerglings = bye bye useless infested terrans. Those things would be a lot scarier if they were actually used.Comment

I'm staying away from fastest maps. I've been creating a couple of maps (regular versions and money versions).Comment

Re: Starcraft II Officially Announced
So for the Protoss:
Zealots are still in.
Immortals are the Protoss remaining Dragoons that have been upgraded.
Stalkers are the Dragoon version of the Dark Templars.
High Templars and Dark Templars I can assume they're still in, unless Zeratul decided to become a Stalker.
Soul Hunters = Pretty damn good building destroyers.
Twilight Archon
Phoenix replaces both the Scouts and Corsairs.
Tempest = Newly designed Carriers.
Reavers (can be seen in the last battle of that video)
Observers (IMO the best unit in the game :wink.
Phase Prisms
Colossus
Warp Ray
Terran:
Marine
Goliath
Reaper
Ghost (I expect them to make a return).
Medic
Battlecruiser
Zerg:
Huge Worm thing
Zergling +Suicidal Zerglings.Last edited by BatsareBugs; 06-19-2007, 04:23 PM.Comment
