Western fans are really going to enjoy Call of Juarez, a game not afraid to take chances and have fun with itself. The atmosphere is excellent, thanks to a great cinematic score and a great variety of gameplay including horses, dueling, stealth and flat-out action. While Call of Juarez isn't particularly great in any of these areas, you have to hand it to Techland for developing one of the most fun Westerns to date. The visuals are great at times, although textures and dark environments need to be improved. When you're finished with the brief-yet-engrossing single-player game, you'll enjoy the online multiplayer, thanks to some classic modes re-created with Old West aplomb.

I loved Gun, it's definitely on my radar to get it, I'm about 75/25 right now.

I am going to pass on this game, but it has inspired me to pick up Gun, since I can get it pretty cheap now. I was always interested in it, but never got around to picking it up.

Any of you old timers out there play Outlaws on the PC back in the day? Terrific game and still the most fun I have ever had in a multiplayer game.

Call of Juarez is being compared to Outlaws in some of the impressions and other info that I've read. I'm so pumped about this!!!

I'm dying to know how it is too. I'm taking off for the weekend so I can't get it right away. I'm hoping for Sunday.

I'm shocked, it's a FPS that you actually have a body! You can look down and see your legs, shadow, arms, etc. In the first mission, you come upon a "girl"...um, and a guy interrupts what could have been a very cool scene

Online...wow, there's a ton of options, I was playing the recreation of the Jesse James bank robbery from 1776. One team robs the bank, the other defends it. Didn't try any other modes, but that mode alone was fun as hell.

I knew you'd get it. And like always, your impressions have me interested. Think I'll go the GameFly route instead of buying. The bank robbing sounds like fun.

I'm glad its good. I plan on cracking it open tomorrow. I've got a 6 hour turnaround tonight at work (out at 11 back at 5) so I doubt I'll get any gaming in tonight.

This one is all over Gun. Just played MP and I am suprised at how nice this game looks and plays. SP is just flat out fun

I'm in, FlightWhite39 after 8pm eastern. Played a little more SP and this is totally different from Gun. I'm on storymode the 3rd episode. Not sure how many episodes there are. Have to get up early for work so off to watch the Western channel to put me to sleep. Peace fellows and looking forward to some online play.
