Great vid flawless and it's led me to a pretty cool site. So a hearty thanks for that.

This looks like the kind of game that you can just pick up and have fun with. It doesn't take itself too seriously and seems to have an arcade sensibility to it in a more or less realistic setting. Hopefully if I come into some money after renting this i'll buy it.

Yep. Perfect fit for me. Lately I haven't been too much into gaming. I have CODMW2 and haven't played it in weeks. I bought LFD2 and only really will play it co-op. Nothing sems to hold interest for very long anymore. Not saying some games out aren't great but I just feel burnt out and bored with everything lately. CH2K8 has me occupied for right now.

Wonder what the next game will be that doesn't seem cookie cutter no matter how good it is. Where's the creativity these days. Sequels upon sequels is getting tiresome.

I'll get this and it will be a nice pop in and play for a few type game.

Unfortunately I think you are right. I was kind of hoping for a more serious game though - with missions that require care and a higher difficulty level. Instead I read the guy can take 50 bullets without much problems which renders the stealth portions fairly useless. The game looks like it could be fun if you just want to brawl and blow stuff up but the emphasis on swearing, nudity and GTA style run around a wreck stuff just seems like I would get bored with this game awful fast. I'll wait for some of your guy's impressions before I think about buying this game.

            Re: Saboteur

            Hi,

I have picked up this game (released already in Australia), and have finished playing through the tutorial missions. Have some impressions below and am happy to answer some questions if anyone has any.

            * General lack of polish around. Some average walking/running animations, also in the cut scenes (one bug where a character runs backwards into a scene)
            * Seems to be aiming for the fun angle (i.e., more towards Saints Row 2 than GTA IV).
            * It is possible to use stealth. I have taken out a couple of targets without being detected or raising any alarms
            * The automatic cover system is a little clumsy. I've often found that Devlin is slow to take cover. Maybe this will improve as I get used to it.
            * Loading times when entering/exiting buildings can be a little annoying
            * The cars feel very heavy and hard to steer, but that may be deliberate to match cars from that era. Again, may improve as I get used to it

One thing you should do if you pick up the game is play on Hard. On Normal you're damn near Superman status as far as the amount of bullets you can take. Hard still lets you run wild but will punish you if you run into the open where guys are behind turrets or if you let the Nazis box you in. Fun game.

most of the reviews I have read have said the game is good but seems to lack some polish. The scores are mostly in the 7's.

The game is fun. The graphics are ok reminds me of Mafia. Like someone mentioned put it on hard, on normal you can take alot of damage

Seems to be like most other Pandemic releases. A fun game to play through, but also has enough glitches and general lack of polish that keep it from being a great game.

I hear you on the sequels. If you haven't tried it, Borderlands stands out as something new and fun.
