Yes Hyper Mode appears after you beat it on Hard. Wait a minute that didn't sound right.

Press down on the D-Pad to fire off your missiles. You can also use your Z button to lock on to your target and turn them into homing missiles.

Have you gotten to the room with the ship and lots of baddies? It's the same room where a pile of missiles are blocking a switch. You first have to beat all the baddies in that area and then your awarded a missile power up. That's how I got mine.

I missed something early. what the helll is the security code to the door in the beginning.

turn around directly behind you. there is a cpu there that will give you the code. I think you have to put your hand on it or something (the cpu)

I'm stuck at the part near one of the generators. I see a door with stuff blocking it but don't know how to get there. I try jumping up there but I keep falling off the platform.

Got in a few minutes late last night just to check it out, didn't even get to the first room your talking about with the first baddies. Punched in the security code and found the first save point and that's about it. Off to work in a bit then sox yankees when I get home which obviously takes priority. Really want to get into this game but unfortunately it probably won't be till the weekend.

Just a heads up.

EB/Gamestop is offering a guaranteed $35 trade-in coupon for Metroid Prime 3 good till 9/30. I don't think you need to buy it there so just ask for it because it has a SKU on the coupon.

I'm taking them on this offer because by that time either I will have played thru the game or will have become frustrated, either or. This is one of the cheaper game rentals i've come across.

edit: Oh btw you can't stack the coupon with any other offer or promo !

right, there is an opening straight ahead where those flying things come from. But there is a blue rail up higher, right infront of a door up there with stuff blocking it. That is where you talking about jumping? because that is where I am trying.
