I'm glad to see Quantic Dream finally making their game. There is no question this game won't be for everyone, Indigo Prophecy sure wasn't, but the attention to detail they put in a game is amazing.

Enjoy the game guys, this is one game I wish I could actually play.

Would this and GOW3 entice you to get a PS3, or are you completely done with the sony brand?

LOL, no, sorry. I'm not a God of War fan. Heavy Rain really intrigues me, love the chances they took with it, but not buying another PS3.

Come see me next, next gen (since people still call this "next gen").

Regarding Sessler: His schtick makes me wanna punch his face in but hey it's worked for him! Out of all the TV reviewers i've seen the best are Victor Lucas and (formerly) Tommy Tallarico of Reviews on The Runl (I think it's under a different title in the US) They had a great chemistry together and they never took what they did super seriously but it was always informative and you got good info the games they were reviewing. Unfortunately a couple or so years ago Tommy left the show to concentrate fully on the Video Games Live concert series as he's otherwise known as a video game music artist. Tommy's been replaced on the show by Scott Jones from the Crispy Gamer site. They have a good chemistry too and I enjoy the banter these two have.

Oh and um back on topic....I'm sure glad I can play this game

Simply put Heavy Rain is the single best Playstation 3 game that I have played to date and had this been an official review it would be tying Mass Effect 2 for the highest PlanetXbox360.com score - a perfect 10 out of 10.

I want to buy this also, but 8-10 hrs long isn't really worth $60. I have a spot open at Gamefly, I just get it from there. But I still can't wait to get my hands on it.

Well, since I haven't played it I can't legitimately "campaign" for it, but it is 8-10 hrs with multiple (20?) possible endings, and the whole idea is that you "write" the story as it goes, so at least two plays seems realistic, pushing it to 16-20 hrs; obviously a third play would push it near 30. Might be something of a lame defense (I wish it was longer, too), but I'd say it's worth mentioning.

Replayability pwns length by a country mile anyway. Again, not saying this game's going to have awesome replayability, but assuming for the moment it does, 8-10 hrs is passable. It only becomes "too short" if when you're done you have no desire to play it again. For instance I had that problem with Assassin's Creed II and it was 20 hours, a length most would consider pretty good, and I still felt burned. :shrug:

Some guy on justin.tv has this game and has been playing it. Crazily enough he's on his 3rd playthrough! Anyways i've been watching bits and pieces so as not to spoil the game too much and I gotta say it's pretty damn interesting.

Honestly after trying the demo as well, I can't for the life of me understand why anyone is excited to play a game full of quick time events and nothing else. Just not for me I guess.
