This sort of fell of the map pretty fast. Did it lose its appeal?

it was a crowded quarter with some huge games, and this is a relatively niche game that's exclusive to one console. Even so, according to Quantic Dream, it still sold over 1 million copies. They were actually expecting around 300k sales.

^ Yeah, I'd just say the "launch hype" for the game is gone. No one's opinion of the game has changed much. 87 on Metacritic, with some folks here and there finding it an utter bore (expectedly). The "appeal" is the same as it ever was: niche.

I personally didn't find much re-playability in it because I went through the story the way I wanted it to be played out the first time. I was happy with how everything turned out and I didn't want to change it.

That said I loved the game and would definitely buy another if they make a sequel or a game with an entirely different story but the same gameplay idea. I do plan to play it again in 6-12 months when the story isn't fresh in my head. Almost like rewatching a favorite movie.

Same here.

I probably wouldn't buy another one though and would just rent next time. It was a fun ride but not worth paying full price for as once you finish it's hardly ever going to be played again.

I just 'beat' the game last night and my ending was even worse.

That is the worst I ever heard.

I really want to play through this again, and try to get another ending.

I played through it again, this time successfully completing the QTE's and got a much better ending.

No sign of the wife in mine as Ethan and Madison were buying an apartment together. Maybe if Madison dies or gets arrested, he reconciles with the wife? Or maybe you have to not bang Madison in the hotel.

decided to pick this up asa part of the fathers day weekend B2G1F at gamestop and I am enthralled!
hard to put it down.
but the tough part is accepting the desicions you make or fail to make.
in games like Final Fantasy, u can talk to everybody, go everywhere, leave no stone unturned.
not here.
its jarring but i love it.

Remember that Heavy Rain DLC? Well, if you've been waiting for news about the upcoming second chapter in the episodic Heavy Rain Chronicles, you may want to brace yourself for some bad news.

While checking out the Move version of Heavy Rain at Sony's booth, I had the chance to chat a bit with Quantic Dream's Guillame de Fondaumière, who had some interesting things to say about integrating Move controls (which you can read about here). However, among all the cool tidbits, there was the disappointing revelation that the Heavy Rain Chronicles DLC plans have been put on indefinite hold. The first episode, entitled The Taxidermist, was given away to gamers who purchased the game new, though it was released for purchase later. The fate of the second announced episode, which was supposed to have featured the Origami Killer as the playable character, is now in doubt. According to de Fondaumière, Sony encouraged Quantic Dream to focus its efforts on the Move version of Heavy Rain instead of the DLC.

While the DLC could potentially continue once Move has launched, de Fondaumière indicated that it is more likely that the studio will go forward with its next project -- which he, of course, wouldn't say a word about.

I hate the MOVE now!

Yeah I got the first Chapter of DLC with my pre-order and enjoyed it. I completly forgot about any future DLC because nothing was ever announced.
