    What.A.Game.

    Wow.

I popped it in yesterday around 5 PM, played for 4-5 hours, stopped to eat, then kept playing until I finished the game at around 4 AM. I can't remember the last time I've done that with a game, if at all. This was just a masterpiece IMO. It had it's minor issues like every game (voice acting was weak, movement was annoying at times and the same can be said for the camera), but really aside from those issues this game might just be one of my top 5-10 favorite games of all-time.

I was so fully immersed in the story after I got a few hours in. Having all my decisions play out and have major consequences combined with the fact that so many of these decisions were so emotional was amazing. I know Mass Effect does the same thing, and does it well, but I think the fact that this was based in the real-world (aside from Jayden's ARI equipment lol) was what made it that much better. There was one decision I had to make about mid-way through the game where

Also I never realized how attached I got to some of the characters until I was aggressively mashing buttons trying to keep them alive and my heart was pumping knowing that one wrong move could be it.

Another thing I was impressed by was how well the story played out. I don't know if that was the case for other people, but everything wrapped up pretty nicely and made sense. I was impressed by that considering the story could have gone in any number of directions with just a few different choices made by me.

What's also crazy to think about is that I can go through and play again and have a totally different outcome. I'm usually not one to replay through games once I beat them unless it's an open-world game, but this is a game where as soon as I beat it, I already knew I wanted to play through again. And I'm probably going to play through a third and fourth time as well.

OMG! Awesome game. I loved every minute of it. I wish I didn't finish so I could keep playing. Hope they make another one.

Really hoping for a Heavy Rain 2! (doubt that'll happen though)

Can't remember for sure but I believe HR has 21 different endings.

Maybe someone else here can confirm...

                Re: Heavy Rain (PS3)

I actually got a brand new version (non-GH) and it was priced at $30.

But what was even better was that I traded in Killzone 3 and got Heavy Rain and Uncharted 1 for a combined price of $20. And after beating HR and UC1, I feel like the Lakers after the Pau Gasol trade.

I'm hoping that second DLC comes out. Can't wait to eventually play the first one, even if it is a little short from what I've read here.

As for a sequel, not sure how they'd pull it off. IDK if they'd use the same characters again (assuming you at least kept someone alive in your playthrough) but I'm down for anything like this game again. It was just a crazy good experience.

I do have one question though after seeing the ending I got. I kept everyone alive except Lauren and Scott, and there was one ending scene with Jayden that was a little confusing:

David Cage has already come out and said there won't be any sort of sequel. All 3 of their games have been awesome, hopefully it won't be another 5 year wait til the next one.

Cage has said they were working on two new projects that are very different from each other.

Originally the rumor was that QD was working on a sci-fi game called Horizon based on some voice actor auditions someone found, but Cage shot that down. Latest rumor is that one is called Fiv5, with Quantic Dream registering Fiv5 across the european domains, someone who works at Quantic Dream listing Fiv5 in their job description (which also listed the previously cancelled Infraworld) and SCE has trademarked the name Fiv5 (so def some smoke with this rumor).

                          Re: Heavy Rain (PS3)

Just finished this today after renting from GameFly.

Liked the ending I got except for the lack of romance, which I think I can point to how I screwed that up. Also the Agent didn't survive that last fight for me. I tried replaying the last chapter again to rectify that and I screwed up the same scene, so I'll just seal it up and ship back.

Really fun game to play. Definitely enjoyed it and really had no idea who the killer was until I heard the name.

I played this over the weekend and really enjoyed it. Some of the scenes were engrossing, especially the one with the 5 minute timer. It was the first game my wife actually took an interest in the story.

I got the "worst" ending, partly due to being unfamiliar with the PS3 controller. On medium difficulty some parts felt like I was playing Twister with my fingers.

I very rarely replay games I've finished, but I'm going back to where things started going wrong for me and playing it through on the easy setting.

I wish they's make more games like this for less $ and shorter. Like 2-3 hours, so you could play through and get the story in one sitting.

Looking forward to following this up with LA Noire later this week.
