They make good games, but nothing to get so overly hyped about IMO.
Yep. I LOVE id, period. I still have all the DOOMS and they made such a big impact years ago that as long as it's not total trash I'll support them.
It kills me when another game, that will remain nameless, can come out and basically be the same freaking game year after year but it gets accolades after accolades. Other games get "Does not advance the genre" or "We've done this before" BS.

Looks like RAGE is a fun game overall but nothing "groundbreaking".
    I play for fun so......

Just played about 1 hour on the ps3 version. the mandatory install took about 20 mins. Now, the 1st thing you notice is how smooth and fast this game moves. 60 fps locked. Did a few quests and so far it seems like a bunch of fetch quests or kill the mutants. just got the Shotgun and getting ready for my own buggy. Let's see how it opens up. Shooting mechanics feel good but the controls may be mapped a bit different than your used to. For example, the Triangle button is the jump button.

Keep em coming Eton...I work tonight but would like to stop at store and grab this so when I get off in the morning I can shower and play instead of having to go out....

I have BF3 paid off and Elder S paid off. This and Dark Souls are the only other games I'm interested in the rest of the year. I know I won't have much time to play much of anything for a while but I have a need to know they are in my closet

Probably gonna pick this up used in a few months.

Gears 3 and BF3 are just gonna take up my time for now, but over the summer this would be a nice playthrough

played some more. Game does remind you a lot of Borderlands with the quests. Got a bunch of the guns now and they seem cool. there is a pretty hefty RPG element too. it seems you need to combine many of the things you pick up along the way to engineer something you need. The Mutants are a strange lot. They seem to have taken a late 70's Stereotype of British punks and morphed them in. things said " Who is this wanker" and the like. Driving the buggies is smooth and easy. You can upgrade you vehicles with cash as you move along too. There are races and what seem like destruction derbies with weapons on your car(machine guns, Rockets). I am having a good time with it so far. It does seem to have a lot more depth than your average shooter.

Got this from Gamefly today for 360. The game is really quite beautiful, but I could barely play for 45 minutes. For some reason it instantly gave me a feeling of an impending migraine, and I had to turn it off before my headache could officially begin.

Just want to say, that the graphics are freaking incredible.

By the way, the MP is a great preparation for Twisted Metal.

Deft, after watching Videos for the MP, I thought the same thing. Also, since Bethesda published this game, you will see a collectable that will remind you of a Bethesda game.

I don't have a numerical number for you, but it is straight up FUN. Very simple and balanced. If you like Twisted Metal you will like this.

I was getting owned right and left at first, till I figured out how to use the weapons.

This game comes with 3 full dvd's?

Wow, the single player campaign mode must be huge !!!

It's cause of the huge textures mostly.

Playing the single player. I'm really not even thinking about the MP. The game is so smooth, and the gameplay so well executed. You might not even care about the MP

Not saying that the MP is bad. It's just the campaign on the right level is very addictive.
