No one else talked about having this issue. People are blaming the reviewers 360 and that it overheated or something. The reviewer had mentioned it start happening several hours into playing, so take that how you will.

Funny story..

So I go to BB to pick up my copy with my CC weekly ad in tow to price match. So I get to the cashier, hand him the game, and throw down the paper saying I want to price match. He looks at the ad (clearly labeled as $49.99 and then it says $39.99 underneath that for the PC version) and starts typing in. I'm looking at the screen and he starts to type in 39.99 and then stops and looks at the paper again and continues with the 39.99. He then has to get somebody to override the warning (at which point I thought I was done for), but she does it without looking and I got it for $39.99, then I had a $5 RZ coupon, so it was $34.99 + tax. Needless to say I was/am pumped.

My buddy that was with me was like woah, wait a minute as the cleark was typing in the numbers. I calmly leaned over and said "shut the hell up."

That's awesome! You'll appreciate the game even more now!Games should cost that much initially, imo!

I haven't read a single thing about this game, never played the demo, etc....

But I'm heading out to buy it in a few minutes using my Madden money.

BTW, i got my le edition and my big daddy figurine is intact. There is a page on the 2k site saying if your big daddy is broken, they will replace it for you and send you the art book as well.

So Circuit City had an add for $49.99. Dang...tempting. I only played the demo for 5 minutes, didn't have time.

Are there moments in this game where it gets real tense or things that make you jump?

I want to buy this game so bad after playing the demo, but considering I'm leaving for college on Saturday and won't have my 360 with me I'll have to wait until later in the year.

BTW the most amazing thing to me is the pacing. There are periods where you can take your time, explore and soak it all up and then all of a sudden frantic incredible action. This game really feels like one incredible amusement ride.
