Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
Anyone play on hard mode yet? Is there a big difference over normal? Wonder if you get less ammo, health and stuff.
I haven't had too much time to play this game over the weekend but will be playing the heck out of it this evening.Comment

Can't wait to get into hard mode and go against the Big Daddy. He'll whoop my *** but it should be good.Comment

I played the demo on Hard and there was a noticeable difference. I plan on trying Hard for my 2nd playthrough.Comment

Just got this today. One thing I've discovered, among many others, is the joy of killing splicers while involving telekinesis. Way cool.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
NHL: Calgary Flames

Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
I have killed 2 Big Daddy's by luring them down stairs and getting them trapped in an area where I just fire away till their dead. But when I go back upstairs to harvest the little sister, there is another Big Daddy roaming around. This has happened to me each and everytime I lured the Big Daddy downstairs.
Is there an issue with me leaving the area?Comment

Only way to get her back up is by have another Big Daddy knock on the wall.Comment

Ok, that's what I thought but wasn't too sure. Trying to take these guys on one-on-one is tough, getting them trapped somewhere works better but if your not in the zone then it take some work.Comment

Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
After that switch to metal piercing machine gun and it is usually lights out.
That works the best for me, and also use your surroundings for shields.
In other news while playing today I died and when into that chamber. When I respawned first thing I saw was a ugly splicer looking right at me. Dude was right in front of the chamber looking in. He stood there what it seemed making an attempt to open it. Thought that was pretty cool. After that turned away and start walking. That is when I opened the chamber and knocked his *** out with the wrench.Comment

Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
The thing I find so great about this game is that there is not a single technique you have to use to take down a Big Daddy. It seems every post on here has used something different. I don't always get to do it but if I can find 2 Big Daddy's roaming around I will toss hypnotize on one to get him to follow me and then shoot at the other one. The one on my side will then duke it out with the other one. The survivor is absolutely beat up after the fight and one or two shots takes him down. I get 2 for 1 plus a little sister. This game truly feels like a next generation game just due to the fact that in a linear type environment you still can make independent decisions as to how you want to play.Comment

Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
*Semi Spoiler*
The easiest way for me to defeat a Big Daddy or Rosie (i'm playing on hard) is hiding behind a huge center piece... and coming out periodically and firing electrical buckshots and armor piercing bullets and frag grenades... it also helps when frag chucking turrets are attacking him as well... he'll go down eventually (it usually takes me a couple of tries with loading back since i never use the Vita Chambers)...http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
Minor Spoiler to kill Big Daddies.
When you get the crossbow and the things you can attach to the wall that blow up (I forgot the name) you can line a hall with about 4 of them. Then pound the big daddy with a round of armor piercing bullets then he'll run through those things and be almost completely dead. At that point a couple shots of the electric buck will take him down.Comment
