Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
I don't know why I've only logged in like 6 hours of gameplay but everytime I go back to it I love it more.
I'm still early in the game but the Big Daddy's seem to be getting a tad bit easier. Maybe it's the guns I had but the ones I faced now basically only shoot at me. What happened to putting a hole through my chest with their heads?"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

BioShock Patches, Free Plasmid DLC to Hit Next Week
Publisher 2K Games sends word that a few BioShock patches will be released next week, in addition to a free downloadable content pack for the hit game.
2K community manager Elizabeth Tobey tells Shacknews that the DLC will at least include extra plasmids for players to mess around with, a way to disable Vita-Chambers for hardcore play, and bug fixes.
The patches will also address the game's field-of-vision perspective, following an intense bout of controversy over the way BioShock handles its widescreen display.
A title update to the Xbox 360 version will be released alongside the DLC, while the PC patch will come bundled with the content. Expect a patch list to be posted on The Cult of Rapture website when the downloads go live.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
Anybody try this after the patch? I am curious to see if there is a noticeable difference in the viewing angle, since the official forums were going crazy when this game came out regarding problems with its aspect ration. I never noticed a big problem while playing the game, but I am curious.Comment

the difference is very noticeable with the viewing angle
and anyhoo... i wonder if i'll get the brass balls achievement anyway, i ALWAYS loaded when I died instead of usin the Vita Chamber and I've been playing on Hard since the beginning (probably why I still haven't beat it lol)http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

I will have to try this game again soon. I always wanted to beat it on hard and harvest all the little sisters since I saved them all my first time. But I'm about to start Mass Effect, still need a few more assassinations in AC, and am having just way too much fun playing drums in Rock Band. It might have to wait another month or so before I revisit it.Comment

Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
I know this is old news but I just beat this game finally. I loved the story telling in this game though it was predictable after a while. I never really finish games but I've realized that people have put in time. I'm thinking about giving it another try through to get the full list of achievements. Played it on medium I believe and that was a hard sucker. Got to put in 15-30 minutes sessions since I got it. Never used the vita-chambers. If I would have known that the achievement was only for the hard difficulty, I would have tried that sucker again. I'm thinking about going the darker way this time. We'll see how it goes. Can't wait to see what they have in mind for the 2nd installment.Comment

Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
I want to finish a few of these other games first though. I have to finish this freaking Need For Speed Most Wanted and maybe Gears of War. Definitely going to spend some quality time on Bioshock. Was so worth it.Comment

Bioshock has been put to the back burner as a result, but I will definitely make time for it this spring. Too good not to play a second time.Comment

Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)
I just bought a snazzy new computer so I'm thinking of buying this game. I had it for the 360 but barely got half way and gave it to my brother to keep. I'm interested to see where the story was going.Comment
