Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I'm at 79 of 95 with all the cases in the Arson desk left to do. I think I just have 3 hidden cars left, so hopefully I don't have to do too much searching. The cars look very similar though so it won't be much fun hunting them.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)

What I did was, during each case when we would go to a new location with a parking lot, I would sit in every car around before going forward. All I've done after finishing was to hit every hidden car in free roam.
This is definitely one of those things I will use a guide for, no way I'd ever scour all these similar cars for the few I am missing. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...d.php?t=311616Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
LMAO! i thought the same thing. i like mines clean shaven ya dig!
i wish i would of thought of that. smart move.I'm finding it helpful to write down the correct answers and mistakes for the interrogations when trying to 5-star everything. I'm sure they're on the internet somewhere, but I want to figure it out myself. I wish I would have done this the first time through.
I'm getting there, but I have to go back through about half of them a 3rd time. I'm to the point now where I just skip all driving and cut scenes. Makes them a lot shorter!
after going through the case books, its only 2 cases i didnt get 5 stars on the first time through.
DAMN IM GOOD!
so basically we have to get inside of every car in the game right?
yeah i was not really feeling how that case/desk ended. just seemed anti-climatic."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.yea but will they take psn cards

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I finished the game this weekend. Very good game. It made me think a lot. The motion scanning may have spoiled me to thinking all games need this.
Some of the action sequences were a little weird, like the end of homicide. The car on rail chase scenes were as annoying as they are in GTA. After a while I just tailed them from afar until they crashed themselves. No need to get caught up in the spinning out traffic that only happens during a chase.SpoilerI hated that chandelier. I kept thinking, how does a killer tight rope a chandelier and place evidence up there with no one seeing him?
Maybe I was just frustrated at dieing so many times on that thing, and no, I didn't want to skip it.
The conclusion was great. I really enjoyed the Arson and Homicide desk. I thought those cases were the most interesting.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I'm loving the game. Struggling some with my first vice case. The interrogations for me started off a little slow as far as success but I eventually became pretty good at it nailing nearly every question in the homicide cases. It's been tougher so far with the vice case "Black Caesar." Things don't seem as clear-cut. In fact...
SpoilerI went to visit the numbers game runner before seeing the distributor (JJ). By doing that, I apparently didn't get a clue from JJ that I was supposed to use when questioning the numbers game dude. I'm trying to figure out how I should have known to see JJ first. I tend to go to locations based on the order they are listed in my notebook even though I know you don't necessarily do that. I just kind of figured it didn't matter in the end. The numbers game was listed before JJ. Well, I guess vice is different?MLB: Cincinnati Reds
NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
NHL: Calgary Flames

I've been writing stuff down too, ever since I pretty much failed most interrogations in Golden Butterfly I think. Phelps' notebook has nothing on mine.I'm finding it helpful to write down the correct answers and mistakes for the interrogations when trying to 5-star everything. Letting your partner drive to the next destination also insures that you won't run anybody over or cause excessive damage, thus lowering your star rating.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Almost done with this game and I've gotta say I'm a bit disappointed. It is definitely a superb game, but I would prefer more freedom. You cannot pull out your gun on the streets? What is up with that. I understand you play as a detective, but I just feel there is way too much restriction.
It is also extremely repetitive.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
This is exactly what I was saying before I even played the game. It is very repetitive. I'm enjoying it, but I don't see myself playing more of it than I need to. There just isn't enough side stuff to do that really interests me. Bit overrated IMO.Almost done with this game and I've gotta say I'm a bit disappointed. Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Another thing is, they have this huge city, but I feel as if you really can't go and explore it because things are so linear. Not like linear is a bad thing, but when you have this large open world, there should be more to do to entice you to wander around the city. Other than finding dumb film reels, or cars, what is there to do? Aside from the crimes that is.Comment

Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks, because I can't wait to play through the game again.
