Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I had some problems with Golden Butterfly too, I only got 1*.
SpoilerI interviewed the Perv first, then the husband. All the evidence pointed to him, so I charged him with murder. Then I got chewed out by the chief. I guess it was because I guess I was supposed to arrest the perv, but I didn't see any evidence pointing to him. At the end, it said something like "While you arrested the Husband, the girl is now contemplating life as an orphan.re: Golden Butterfly Case
SpoilerMy ending to that case was similar to yours though I think I may not have gotten all the evidence or just really sucked at interviewing the perv because I couldn't arrest him so I go back and charged the husband only to get chewed out by the Captain as he wanted the perv locked up.Spoilersee thats the thing. i charged the husband and at the beginning of the very next case, the captain was thrilled i was able to book the husband for the murder in the Golden Butterfly case.
everyone else has said that captain gets angry with them because they didnt arrest the perv.

lol that sucks. i will replay that case too."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Well i'm now a Vice cop. I'm getting the feeling that the cases are going to get even longer and more involved now.
SpoilerThe BD killer conclusion was a bit of a cop out to me. So it ended up being that temp bartender from long ago? C'mon! There was no way anyone could even think of him as being the killer. I guess that happens in real life too. Is there a way to bring him in alive? I shot him dead. It's pretty crazy that he ended up being the brother of some big shot politician. I guess i'm heading into the home stretch and the Morphine/City corruption stuff is going to get covered in these last two desks.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
That process was explained in one of the tutorial cases when you were still a beat cop. Also, just a heads up for the achievement/trophy people on the forum...
To get the achievement for the "warning shot" you can do this by clicking "LT" for 360, if you click "LT" and point it on the suspect, a meter will show up...Once the meter is full (You have to keep your gun on the suspect the entire time) you will shoot in the air.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Speculation after playing through White Shoe Murder
SpoilerI get the feeling all these guys are set up, it all seems too easy, shady guys who will be standoffish with the cops who just happen to have a bloody murder weapon sitting around. One thing we haven't been given the option of investigating, all these women get drunk at a bar and it seems these bars always have a temp bartender, that struck me after the second murder case.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I'm so terrible at questioning apparently, on the "Fallen Idol" Case in traffic I got 5/13 right for the case. I think I read too much into the facial expressions instead of what I actually thinkSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

As an aside, the acting in this game is just brilliant. No wonder this game was screened at the Tribeca Film Festival.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
You do NOT need to be in a cop car to get the street crimes. They'll still be on the map from the pause menu and you can target them from there. You do need to have an idea of when they come up though because you won't be informed of them. Also yes there's some where you don't have to shoot anyone but you might need to use the warning shot.Comment
