Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I still find it amazing that I didn't run across a single film reel in my first playthrough - they hid those a lot better than the newspapers (most of which I stumbled onto while doing my un-aided investigations - no clue music).
Still want (need
) to play that DLC, but the Store's still down...

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Just got past Vice.
SpoilerThe ending threw me off big time. When I found the newspaper in the alley with Roy framing me, I went into the car and started ramming into everything. The little cutscenes made it vague about if I was having an affair with the German or if I was just investigating her. But the way that he reacted with his wife made it seem like he did have an affair. I don't know what happened, hopefully during Arson it gets cleared up.Follow me on Twitter: @ADice15Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
It got somewhat old for me kinda quick though the game is fun to play. I didn't feel bummed there wasn't more to play, like I have with some games where I didn't want the game to end.
May be more of a rental unless you are one for re-playing the game over and over or spending added money for new DLC. If your budget can afford it then YES it's worth it.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Agreed. It's definitely been a fun game, but after I go through it once, there is no way I see myself playing it over again. Seeing as you can play cases over I will probably do that to get all 5 stars and what not, but doing the game from start to finish won't be part of my plan. I'm only half way through and I'm not feeling the same way about this game as I did some other great SP games that I didn't want to end. Hopefully the DLC adds to this game because I still stand by my statement that unless you want to play the game over and over again, the replay factor is still not there as in other games I have played. It got somewhat old for me kinda quick though the game is fun to play. JMO: For me, replaying cases to get higher ratings IS "replay value". As is trying to find all the newspapers, film reels, hidden cars, landmarks, and anything else I missed.Agreed. Would I play through the game completely again just to watch the story? Not likely. But finishing up everything left in the game from my first playthrough certainly constitutes replay value to me.
Not to mention I still have The Naked City and Consul's Car to do when the store comes back up.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
A funny tweet someone posted saying after playing LA Noire, Dragon Age 2' voice acting is horrid. lol Gonna be that way for a lot of games, be hard not to compare.

I probably will go for the new DLC but with so many games to play, tough for me to go back and replay for things I missed.JMO: For me, replaying cases to get higher ratings IS "replay value". As is trying to find all the newspapers, film reels, hidden cars, landmarks, and anything else I missed.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
And that's fine. The whole replay factor is very subjective to what people like to do. For me...I have always hated running around collecting pointless Film Reels type things. Like in GTA with the pigeons...I never cared. I'll redo some cases I'm sure...but for the most part I find the game a bit overrated. It's has great new animations never before seen...and that's awesome, but story wise and length of game it's a bit underwhelming. For me at least.JMO: For me, replaying cases to get higher ratings IS "replay value". As is trying to find all the newspapers, film reels, hidden cars, landmarks, and anything else I missed.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I sort of had that in the back of my head as a possibility.Did anyone else think this about the Homicide desk?
Don't read unless you have completed the Homicide desk.SpoilerI honestly thought Galloway was the killer. Every case he seamed so eager to make a quick arrest and get it over with. It seemed like it was him or another officer to me that was the killer.Comment
