Amazon has the best shipping. Haven't dealt with a better site.
I order using the free 5-7 day shipper and almost always get the item within three days of delivery. Just doesn't make sense but I'm not complaining.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I was given this game a week ago and I love it so far. I just reached Arson. I'm starting to feel the repetitiveness a bit now though. I haven't even done any side missions or car hunting yet, but I think I'll still want to play by the time I get everything 100 percent.
So my question is, are all of the DLC cases worth buying in your opinion?Comment

Car hunting will kill your soul. It's why I no longer have a soul.
The DLC is worth it though.Rose City 'Til I Die

Ya I read through some of this thread and I can tell the cars are a b**** lol. Also, if I understand correctly, the Dispatch missions you can do depend of the time of day?Comment

What I did with cars was everytime I went to go to a new place I would go find a new car as most times they was cars right around that I had never drove. By the end I was only missing like 10 carsRetro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Not so much, just night and day. Certain missions will appear at night and only at night. You can go through the main story first, as the game lets you go back into each desk and do the street crime cases.Comment

If I find a good deal, I may repurchase this game soon..
I think it's been long enough, to where I could enjoy it with another play through..
I bought it and sold it a week later, when gamestop was offering the great deal towards trade ins and got close to $50 for it, but I did beat it before I sold it.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I'm downloading this on PC right now. Hopefully my laptop can handle it with some AA and smoother frame rates than what I remember from playing through on PS3.
It's my favorite game this year for the simple reason that I couldn't stop thinking about it when I wasn't playing. I understand that it's not for everybody but I bought the pace, the style and the atmosphere hook, line and sinker. To me it felt like a time machine. I would love a sequel set in a different city. 50's New York maybe...Comment

I've finished downloading this and can't get it to run. I'm guessing this is another Rockstar port with issues. I've installed it fine but when I launch the game precisely nothing happens.I'm downloading this on PC right now. I'm glad I have Skyrim running like a dream on my laptop for the weekend because I'm pretty sick of dealing with games that don't work in the manner intended.
I still can't get Bully to run on my PC without massive, hilarious amounts of texture pop in.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I finally got this to work on my laptop. It took an 'unofficial' fix to get the game I paid for to work. Rockstar support weren't really any help but I understand that those guys were only telling me what they had been told.
Truthfully it feels like yet another sloppy port. I don't mind the 30fps cap but the way that it randomly drops into the low 20's is really frustrating and fiddling around with the graphics settings doesn't really help. I can go for a couple of hours with zero stuttering but then walk into a new crime scene and it becomes very choppy.
Its annoying to see a game like Crysis 2 or Batman AC running like an absolute dream at max settings and then have this game sputtering and choking randomly.
Still, the game itself is still great. I'm taking in more of the plot the second time around and I'm noticing little details in the writing that I totally missed before. There are plenty of areas that I would change if I was in charge but honestly I'm glad that a big AAA title has gone in this direction.
Its a shame that the development was obviously very painful for Team Bondi and that a lot of those guys have been screwed over. But I still feel that the game should be played and enjoyed regardless of how you feel about Brendan McNamara.Comment
