    Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)

So i'm pleased with the length of this game I have 9 cases left (2 dlc) and im around the 18 hour mark. I still have like 25 of the side missons left, half the cars, and all the badges.

I still find the game fresh and just got to vice. I'll be playing through this game though it will prob be a few months with all the football games.

I just finished this last night. Someone else mentioned it earlier but this game reminded me a lot of the first Assassin's Creed game. Both had a unique and beautiful setting but there was too much repetition. The side missions really felt tacked on because they were so short.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the game. But I can see a sequel being so much better.

I think they rushed through too many desks. I was thinking earlier today how it would have been more fun if you were a beat cop for a little bit longer and then maybe only get through 2 desks instead of 4. For what it is and what it offered, I still love it and its a great foundation, but a little bit more focus in the story and it would have been a masterpiece.

Beat the story yesterday. Aside from the facework and the brutality of the homicides, decent game. Selling it back tomorrow.

Just beat it. Was totally captivated with the story on the last two desks after the end of homicide really turned me off a bit.

Team Bondi and Rockstar Likely Done Working together.

"I've heard a lot about Rockstar's disdain for Team Bondi, and it has been made quite clear that they will not publish Team Bondi's next game. Team Bondi are trying to find another publisher for their next title, but the relationship with Rockstar has been badly damaged...," says the source.

The ex-staffers also criticized McNamara's management style, one terming the developer "the angriest person he'd ever met."

For his part, McNamara acknowledges that the team had to work long hours during the development of L.A. Noire, saying, "If you want to do a nine-to-five job, you [should] be in another business."

Faced with claims that some Team Bondi developers had to at times worked more than 100 hours per week, McNamara said “We all [at the studio] work the same hours. People don't work any longer hours than I do."

Not surprising after reading that original IGN article. Would have been nice to know about things like that before the game came out.

Anyways, I'm surprised the game came out half as good as it did despite all of that mess.

Well im sure young developers will jump on team bondi and another giant publisher will publish the next game hoping for LA noire like results in sales. But I wonder what a Bondi game will look like minus Rockstar's world engine. Maybe they go closed/ set piece gameplay?

After a month break from this game, got back into it this week. I finally got to the arson desk. I've liked the lead up in all the cases, but I don't like

I'd like to see a sequel where you play as a private eye in the same era. Do the whole damsel in distress hires you to solve a case which leads to an exotic location or two where you discover a bigger conspiracy, solve the case and get the girl.

Waiting for the rest of the DLC to drop so I can start my second play thru (in B&W)

Good game for what it is, although there were too many times where I said to myself "they should have done this instead of that"

It was fun playing with Jack (or what ever his name was) a much more interesting character than Cole Phelps.

Would have like to see some DLC base on his story or point of view.

                              Overall I give it a 7/10

I just think Heavy Rain captured the concept of "Film Noir" better (IMO) when it came to the story, gameplay is not even comparable.

Anyone want the codes for two of the pre-order DLC's? I never used them and I'm getting rid of the game tomorrow to get NCAA.
