Ooops, I didn't notice that 100% trophy. Maybe Redskinsfan was asking about that one. I don't know. Either way, together, we gave him the answer.

I agree with this and what Mercurial said. I still love the game, but there's not much to do in the open world unlike GTA or RDR where you can create some havoc if you're bored. Aside from the street crimes the only thing to do is collect reels, badges, cars, etc. and since I don't hate myself that much I have no desire to go and collect those things.

Even with the street crimes I only finished 18 of them I think. I would occasionally do 1 or 2 before starting a case, but once I start going from location to location to gather clues/question people I have no desire to do street crimes. It felt more authentic to just stick to my cases. If I'm a real detective working murder cases, I'm not driving all the way across town to stop someone from who's running from the cops while I'm chasing down suspects.

The main story is amazing though, and that's really all I care about. I'll definitely go back to 5 star the cases and play through the 2 that I 1 starred (Golden Buttterfly and Gas Man).

Hoping I get to start playing the Naked City and Consul's Car tomorrow.

What's the Badge Pursuit challenge thing, and the deal with those Film Reels inside the game case?

I think the negatives are clues for locations of the badges. What do you get when you collect all the badges?

as far as DLC goes, I'd love to have a case of a OD'd body dumped in the Tar Pits.

Well, I know I'm still behind everyone, but I finally played again and got through the Golden Butterfly case.

                  Spoiler

EDIT: So, reading back through here, apparently I wasn't the only one here conflicted on the Golden Butterfly...lol. I think that's my favorite case so far. It felt the most "real" to this point (in the sense that it wasn't just "rack up clues, read faces, convict with 100% certainty"). This felt the most challenging in terms of reading the faces and pointing to the right guy. Just a very well done case, overall IMO.

I had a good system set up of doing these until I got to Vice. They were just too far out from the clue locations so I just stopped around that point for the most part. Kind of upset me how none of them took place in Hollywood really.

Most of the ones I got for Vice stayed in Hollywood so it was easy for me to do them. Once I got to Arson they were always on the other side of LA so I never bothered to drive to one.

I'm lazy. I usually just let my parter drive. I'm pretty sure he's getting calluses on his hands.

I just got a 1* on "The Golden Butterfly".

I am absolutely terrible at this game. Only 6/16 questions correct on that masterpiece.

I've always wondered how they can make 'The Wire' into a video game or something similar and LA Noire has the formula.

Getting someone to be your informant, building cases, setting up wires, taking photos, go undercover, interrogating, setting up busts are all imaginable now with what Rockstar did with noire.

Can you do all of this in LA Noire?

I just made homicide and all of my cases before the promotion has been repetitive...Im hoping it get better down the line...
